May 8, 20224 yr Started up MSFS about an hour ago & it came up with a mandatory update of 3.44GB, which I let run. Then it wanted some choices made on Assistance & other queries I have not struck before. When the Sim finally loaded I went in & checked my Options & found all the Assistance Options had been reset to "Easy", & in the Control options, only Default Settings were there. All my custom settings across all of my input H/ware, [keyboard etc], have gone! Holy words not allowed. Not funny at all. T45 PS - Having scraped myself off the ceiling & restarted the Sim, I find the old Control Settings are still there, so I was a bit quick off the mark. However, some warning from Asobo about the load up queries would have been helpful, prior to the update. Edited May 8, 20224 yr by Treetops45

May 8, 20224 yr There is no release of a new patch. Something was bad with the OP's installation and was corrected by the MSFS checking for updates routine 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.
May 8, 20224 yr I did a video of the MSFS[2020] v 1.25.7.0 start up. I noticed the Installation Manager screen was only up for a microsecond followed by a normal load. That screen on previous days, as I recall, was up for some seconds. No problems with any of my Control Options or Assistance Options. Note: I have used MSFS several times today and all was ok on all startups. No additional Updates. Edited May 8, 20224 yr by vonmar spelling Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW
May 8, 20224 yr There was no update today. I think something screwed up on your end. Were you in the SU9 beta and forget to leave?
May 8, 20224 yr What the OP did was probably delete some of the aircraft, lesson, etc that he never used. That "update" loaded them all back in and I guess as a penalty for you messing with default stuff , decided to delete all your settings. I had 29GB of stuff, that was loaded in with that mandatory update. So now all the planes I never fly, lessons I never use, etc, are all back in my sim.... Edited May 8, 20224 yr by Bobsk8
May 8, 20224 yr Author Not on SU9 Beta. Not Steam. Did not delete anything in Content Manager prior to update. Did get as the first query a drop down choice for a GUI - the Current 'old' one, or a newer, in the Cloud. I stuck with the Old. Then it went through all my assistance settings. The only thing I did this morning, before the 'Update", was to add a line of code to the B247D, to activate a basic AP. That must have annoyed something in MSFS. T45
