MDSD Airport Las Americas ILS problem

Featured Replies

Anybody have this one from bravoairspace?  Last night I noticed when tuned to 108.90 I had no ILS to runway 17.  I use a map program (fstramp) which reads from scenery database.  It didn't see an ILS either.  Reported it to the dev, but they basically said they don't know how to fix it initially and that some but not all users reported this issue.  So I thought I would check here with the group.  Anybody have a fix?  Thanks.

I just got an e-mail that an update was released for the airport. Is this with the latest release so that I can check it out for you?

I ran the update also and it didn't fix it for me.  But curious about on your end

I still have the original installed. I'm downloading the update and will check both.

MSFS

Check both version and neither has an ILS signal. Even a GPS overlay to 17 was way off.

Some devs still can't fully understand how to develop airports for MSFS. There are payware airports with missing ILS approaches, double windsocks, and even missing taxi signs.

Just laughable!

Could that be a navdata issue? Remove and reinstall Navigraph navdata to be sure.
Sometimes the load order gets skewed in the content.xml, and then those issues may appear with default aircraft (or the FBW for that matter).

Will check. This was not with a default aircraft

I was surprised I had to report something as basic as a missing ILS.  But credit to them for fixing it.

When you click download and install it will ask you for a folder. Choose any folder that you want.

I created a folder called MSFS in my downloads folder. So, I selected "MSFS" as my folder.

After installation, I move the folder " bravoairspace-lasamericasmdsd" to my Caribbean folder, then enabled it with the add-on linker.

You can simply move it to the community folder if you don't use the add-on linker.

BTW, Don't forget to delete the old bravoairspace-lasamericasmdsd folder.

Thanks!  Worked fine on the second try after deleting the failed attempt.  For some reason it doesn't ask me for a folder but instead just installs in my MSFS Community folder so I manually move it to my add-on linker folder.  I wish it would just download the zip file and allow me to install it myself.

The ILS is still not working as it should. I lose it a couple (2) of miles away from the runway.
