Anyone not using Toolbar Pushback from flightsim.to? I've stopped using it for now due to many reports of performance degradation.

Asobo pushback is meh. What about FS2Crew Pushback Express? Is it worth paying for?

I didn't see any performance degradation with my MSFS until yet , so since ever it is in use for me..

Get some smaller issues using different planes, Addon planes and so on with the sound for example but this not holding me down not to use it..

cheers 😉

I have been using Toolbar pushback for months with about 6 aircraft including the Fenix. I see no performance problems at all. Not only that it works every time. In the Fenix EFB, when I select connect tug, or whatever it is called, it automatically starts up Toolbar push back and it just works.

Yep same here, works just fine for me PMDG 737

Ditto. No problems with either airplane.

I find that I need to be "gentle" with the Toolbar's interface as it seems to lose it's mind if you move the map too far, or too fast, or something. The airplane and it's track can get offset from the map somehow. Accepting, cancelling, and re-pre-planning the push usually works fine. If I take my time and move the map slowly, I usually have no issues.

On my current flight, the tug disconnected before the push ended but the plane kept going and I ended up in the correct position. I got the push back cancelled message, but I applied the brakes and continued on.

I usually close the toolbar and remove it from the quick menu (which I love, BTW> I've seen threads hating on it and always wondered why).

OMG. Unrelated side note. My FP called for a  rwy 26L approach into KLAS. Setting up the Fenix EFB for landing, I see an 11kt tailwind in red. I changed it to 8R. ATC cleared me for 26L. I requested RNAV 8R AND ATC GAVE IT TO ME !!! (I always get a "circle to land" off of the original approach)

It is certified for tailwinds up to 15kts, but it seemed like a good idea to request another approach.

In terms of pushback, I'm holding out on the Toolbar Pushback for now. It works as intended, but there's too many reports of it causing performance degradation over time during the flight.

I think @Fiorentoni has mentioned before that he also stopped using TP. Maybe he can give some advice re: alternatives. For me it's only really affecting my 737 flights, as with the Fenix and the FBW I'm using the EFB pushback options.

Pushback Express by FS2CREW. Not as smooth with a map, but you can still pre-plan the exact position you want to be pushed back into, pushback itself is automatic. Works fine. It also has voices, you can even change the language to something more immersive (like a french pilot talking english with accent talking to an spanish ground crew guy talking english with accent; e.g. when Air France takes off from Barcelona). It's an external app, which closes automatically after pushback finished, so definitely no influence on performance.
I think I'll stick with it until GSX arrives. Toolbar Pushback seems to have maneouvered itself into a deadend with their map, albeit it's a great idea; it just seems like it won't work without a memory leak

EDIT: Be aware it comes with a bit of "bloatware" (FS2CREW Command Center). You don't need this and can uninstall all of it after installing PBE. You only need the Pusback Express App.

Thanks, I’ll look into it. Didn’t know it had a pre-plan feature. Different accents sounds great. Price is not too bad at €14.99.

I'm going to update my position on this add-on. I was getting much better performance on the ground after greatly reducing the airport vehicle traffic setting, but 3 out of my last 4 landings at KLAS were not very smooth on the rollout and taxi to the gate.

On this last flight, I accidentally disabled the pushback toolbar, and didn't discover that until well into my pre-fight. I used the Fenix integrated PB and carried on with my flight. Perfectly smooth all the way to the gate.

Going to test it again...

I'm not using the Toolbar Pushback app.... are you aware that there's a built-in pushback utility in the PMDG FMC?  It really does work great... straight back, 90 degree turns with a pull forward if desired ("dot the i" or "cross the t").  You can even drive the tug yourself if desired.
