Fenix MCP text getting cut off

Featured Replies

Is anyone else seeing this as well? Does anyone know why the numbers and text are getting cut off?

I assume, if you move your view point much more to the left, even more text will be cut off?! 🤔

At least you have something partly showing.  I got in it yesterday and the FCU panel was blank.  I tried pulling breakers to do a reset, just like in the real plane, and nothing.  Frustrating!

It is even worse here ... you are onto something. You should raise a ticket!

The 3 marbles smack in the middle of your windshield are your best friends (2 white + 1 red) 🙂

If in proper position in the captain seat you should only see the left white marble and the middle red marble, both at the same level. Similarly, the FO should only see the right white marble and the middle red marble. You can then enjoy optimum view of instruments and such.

Cheers,

@guenseli Seriously no need to go there. This was with the default out of the box camera view. I never had this problem in any other A320 and thought it was related to the Fenix. Give me a break. I've never sat in a real A320 cockpit before and had nothing to go off of. I wasn't even that far off from sitting at an angle in the 1st picture. I don't think it should be blocking that much of the number. I compared it to the same angle I was sitting in the FBWA320NX and in that plane, I had no problem with any of the text showing up in the FCU.

I think it may just be that the Fenix cockpit model more realistically depicts the indentation between the surrounding glare panel, and the baro display mounted behind it.  The FBW is using the default model, where the display lights are almost flush with the panel.   In the Fenix, they've realistically depicted the fact that the displays are set back from the panel, meaning parallex effect is more noticeable when moving left or right (X axis) within the cockpit.

Thank you. That makes more sense. Seem like some people on here love being word not alloweds.

It has to do with your viewing angle, as was already stated. If I move my view to the left side of the cockpit, I can lose the entire first digit. Normal.
