Featured Replies

Hi,

Never ecperienced any kind of stutters before. After this WU I have stutters almost every 5 seconds... Any idea? How to uninstall this update?

Tks.

You cannot uninstall the update. Delete your rolling cache and delete the content.xml.  Then try again, preferably with empty community folder.

Do you experience it everywhere, or just in the US?

I flew in the C414 yesterday from KPOU down to KFFA and in the high density photogrammetry areas (ie. NYC metro area — I was just to the west of it) and a bit further south I experienced short stutters as well. Outside of those areas, and when landing it was fine, and smooth as usual. But it was a noticeable freeze every few seconds for a few milliseconds.

Aside from deleting your cache and disabling it, you can disable PG in data menu.

Well. He actually can delete the WU through content manager. But this will only delete exactly that, the WU, and not the „mandatory“ update of some 300Mb which was triggered when you launched MSFS. Anyway, deleting the WU10 may help finding the culprit, being really WU10 or not

Yeah I was talking about the sim update that came with it, assuming he knew that he could delete the WU (since he's probably installed it via the marketplace in the first place). Anyway severe stutters out of nowhere usually mean some mod / terrain conflict. Could be PG cities, too, if he's flying in the US, so the guy above recommending to turn it off for a test is right.

PG?

The simulator was perfect until WU 10. So, it comes for sure from this update. Maybe reinstall MSFS from the beginning? It is necessary?

But it never happened until this WU... Why should the solution be this one?

No issues maybe install ISLC.

Running i5-9600K @ 4.8ghz - 32GB DDR4 3200mhz - GTX 3070.

This is just to test. You are not deleting anything. You're disabling it, jut to see if it helps.

Mate I'm just defining the abbreviation for you.

But the latest WU (if you installed it from the marketplace) did include more and revised photogrammetry. You should just try it, it's literally 1 tick box it takes all of 30 seconds, if it solves your problem at least you know where to investigate further.

You cannot uninstall the base game update (even with a reinstall), but you can remove the World Update using in the in-game Content Manager.

I just updated all the WU because some still have minor updates all the time and I changed the order of the contents in content.xml.

I also started computer with a tweak that I saw on youtube about services and cpu threads, changing 1 for 20.

Stutters are now away.
