ok i bite  on this  one,  if  you were  driving  on the  left  hand  side  which means  you were  sitting  on the  right hand  seat  of  the  car so unless  you were  drivng  a  car  with  left  hand  drive and  off  course  you would  have  to lean  to the  right  to see  to overtake.

Problems arise when there's a filter at a crossroads or two cars arrive simultaneously and neither knows who goes first

Over here at four way stop signs the vehicle on the right has the right of way.  It works pretty well.

The tires are worn.  The shocks are shot.  The steering is wobbly.  But the engine still runs fine.

Yes Peter.  I had a Toyota Tiara with left hand drive we bought at the base exchange at Tachikawa Air Force Base.  I brought it back to the United States with and it was one of the first Toyotas to hit the road over here.  I was occasionally topped by a police car wanting to know what kind of a car it was.

Also, driving official Air Force vehicles  which all had left hand drive we had to lean way over to the right to see oncoming traffice.

That depends on where you live Noel. When we moved to Georgia a while back  my secretary placed two thing on my desk for me to see when I arrived for my first day in the office. One was a book... "How Tp Speak Southern". The other was a reminder that at a four-way stop, the right-of-way goes to guy with the biggest tires....Doug

Did you ever learn how to speak Southern Doug?

Whenever I visit my daughter and granddaughter and great grandkids in South Carlina I could use a book like that.

I've spoken southern all my life Noel. My family comes from Texas and the Ozark mountains in Arkansas. This will help with your need to speak a bit of southern   https://www.amazon.com/How-Speak-Southern-Steve-Mitchell/dp/0553275194/ref=sr_1_1?crid=QKTN6FL49W62&keywords=how+to+speak+southern+book&qid=1658608542&sprefix=how+to+speak+sputhern%2Caps%2C422&sr=8-1  .

Fortunately, I've never lost my Southern accent and have been able to shed my Yankee accent like an old coat...

...since I now live among the Ozark mountains of southwestern Arkansas.  🤪

This is a nice drive around the nearby island of Jersey. Bigger than Guernsey. My daughter has to nip across on a Blue Islands ATR 72 500 frequently for work, a mere 10 minute flight.

This is what the West Coast is like. Lovely beaches. My favourite part of the island. Pricey houses though. Lovely Sunday lunches at The Imperial.
