July 27, 20223 yr This kind of thing has always been a "we'll think about it" type of issue. They didn't necessarily say that they will outright not implement an API, but judging from their responses they don't really seem too keen on implementing this either. It's definitely something that isn't high on the bucket list at least.

As for the drone camera, print out a guide to the main commands, and you're good to go. Chances are you all have a POV hat. You can put the drone directions on the same hat. The drone will react the same way the cockpit POV reacts. Exactly the same. Just assign those drone movements to the hat. When you're in the cockpit the POV hat moves as it always did. When you in the drone, same thing. I also assigned the outside views onto the POV hat. So now that hat works exactly the same in cockpit, drone, and outside mode. Assigning more than one command onto any button or hat is the beginning of wisdom. For instance the Xbox controller comes setup with more than one function on the buttons, such as the left and right trigger. It's a rudder pedal when you're flying. And other things when you are not. 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.

I guess there is no dynamic tower view, that is, a view from the tower that automatically moves the camera and tracks planes as they land. But there is a static tower view. Just move the drone camera to the tower and pick the angle you want to view. From my memory of how the tower camera worked in FSX, you can accomplish the same thing with the drone camera in MSFS. i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM

It's been wish-listed but there are priorities superceding work on this, which I have to think would be a piece of cake to implement for Asobo.
