MSFS SU10 beta clouds - KEYW-KMCO Cessna Citation CJ4

Featured Replies

Hi all,

So far I'm very impressed with the cloudscape in the beta. Cloud rendering is markedly better, with less pixelation and graininess. The "volcanic ash clouds" are few and far between - and when they do appear, they look better too. Overall SU10 seems to bring significant improvements in terms of the overall visual experience, and of course massive performance benefits.

I don't think the sim has ever been this good 😎 For those of you that are waiting until the release of SU10 - I think you have something to look forward to 🙂

Graphics settings: 4K 3840x2160 | HDR | DX12 | DLSS Quality | Terrain LOD 200 | All other settings ultra

Note: Due to the way HDR images are captured using Xbox game bar, I had to adjust the brightness to prevent the images looking too dark.

In general it looks good, I am not part of the beta, but in your screen shots I only see Cumulonimbus clouds.

There are at least 16 other cloud variations and I fail to see any of those in any of the screen shots or YT videos.

I am just curious if you have seen any other cloud types in SU10 beta?

Most of what is said on the Internet may be the same thing they shovel on the regular basis at the local barn.

Very nice. I haven't gone for the beta but am definitley looking forward to the live version (assumimg they don't cods it up on release). Yes, I can see that some other cloud types might be nice, but thos are pretty impressive. Thanks for posting.

You're right. Cloud variation is definitely a weak spot. There's currently only cumulus-type clouds. Hopefully this is something Asobo will work on in the future.
