FIX: Stuck on Syncing Data Page

Featured Replies

I thought I'd pop this on here to help those who may find themselves in a similar situation to me without any solution. THE ISSUE: After starting MSFS, the loading stops at a page saying syncing data, and nothing else happens. I scoured the internet and forums and found plenty of suggestions, even from the official MS site which suggested returning the entire sim back to default (which seems to be a regular fall back position!) Jeez, what a crazy thing to have to do. Many other suggestions too, such as deleting specific folders etc. Anyway, I'm sure this may well be known by many, but nevertheless there will be others, not necessarily in the minority, who may not know about this fix so I thought if it can help one person then it is worth posting.

FIX:

1) Sign out of MS store
2) sign out of Xbox app
3) restart PC, (IMPORTRANT, do not skip)
4) sign back into MS store
5) sign back into Xbox app
6) start MSFS.

There maybe other reasons for the original issue, but in my case this worked for me

Thank you!!! 🙂 It works!

I had this yesterday and when I launched the MS Store app there was a gaming service update. I tried after the update and the sim fires up without issues

Well... it worked for a while  and the problem came back. I had to disconnect from MS Store, shut down reconnect again. Not cool.

I checked the MS site and found some crazy "fixes" (reinstall windows (are you serious?) or complicated files modifications) which seemingly don't work.

By the way, maybe a stupid question about the Xbox app (see OP), is it something which is required when you don't use Xbox?

This has happened to me 2 or 3 times (including today).  The "fix" that worked for me (after searching online), was to delete the "ROLLINGCACHE.CCC" file.  Each time the file was about 8Gb, (I have a dedicated drive for MSFS only).  Restart Windows before returning to MSFS.

I'll be OK once they get my bathchair fixed.

That did the trick for me, thanks a lot!

The synching data page went away with SU12.

I don't know why my MSFS got stuck syncing data at the startup process then the other day.
The syncing data page did not went away in my sim (v 1.32.7.0) but I'm glad hughesmeister's fix worked for me too.
