August 27, 20223 yr Probaby a Hanger Chat item but since I'm an MSFS fan was wondering how much time you need for your simming fix. I find that only a few hours ever few days is enough to keep me happy because I appreciate the time way more Used to sim all day every day. I do like watching a good MSFS tube however. sp
August 27, 20223 yr not addicted to msfs yet, because i have not actually got it (getting it soon tho). In the grennwich mean time i have watched some youtube videos for quite a while now and they are definately getting better. twitch also, has some very good videos. The chat function is worth a read (you can learn a lot about msfs2020, besides here of course, and ask questions too ) squirrell and london controllers are good stream videos for examples, amongst others as well. longest flight i actually did in real time was lhr to sfo. it was on autopilot obviously, and slept throughout most of it through the night and landed in the morning. Just funny, in that it did feel like a real long-haul flight normally though i do short haul flights 200 to 300 miles, for example, to enjoy take off and landing pretty fast Edited August 28, 20223 yr by icewater5
August 27, 20223 yr I rarely have time to do an actual flight without interruptions (4 kids so no surprise haha). But on mobile I'll browse here and flightsim.to and discord to keep up with stuff. A true peaceful flightsim flight would consist of a 2 hour session with good online ATC like during a vatsim event or Pilot Edge. Sometimes I have time to do offline stuff but mainly I'm testing something, making a livery, or doing screenshots lol. | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |
August 27, 20223 yr Yeah. For me, I think I like the airport areas much more. Meaning, I like the takeoff and landing phases so much, I'd prefer a shorter flight so I can get to the good stuff. With previous sims, it was the opposite: get the departure over with so I don't have to look at skanky scenery and just enjoy the flight itself. August 27, 20223 yr For me it’s seasonal. During the summer I might only fly once a week and that’s ok because I’d rather be outside. Winter time I’m likely doing at least a few hours each day of the weekend and an hour or so a few weeknights. Of course I’d love to be able to do more but there’s lots of competing priorities. August 28, 20223 yr I would rather payware airports fairly close together, rather than the more highly rated airports far apart ! 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. August 28, 20223 yr During the work week I rarely fly as I don't have the time, but I enjoy getting several flights in over the weekend.
