Test morning at Kenton

Featured Replies

For those who enjoy primers and rustic things... walking around and checking this bird and soon start thos engines and fly away taking advantage of the sun rising after taking off.

This is my 3rd attempt with the PMDGs 737 in factory colors, now for the 800 version.

Hope you like it!

No worries....as long as you can paint! 🙂

I don't understand though.....you say you "painted" this plane....don't you mean you "un-painted" it? 🤣

Fantastic work as usual!

Here is how I'm using your paint....to announce my next paint in the coolest way...here she is in the paint hangar at Renton, with her rudder already painted (anyone know why you see this sometimes? The rudder painted separately....I do, let's see if you guys do) 🙂

...Well said Steve ..well said  ..hahaha.

Thank you and glad you like this bluish bird😂

And about the Tail painted...i guess it is to help in during the process to dont get confused with parts?

It's because the Rudder is a control surface, and it has to be carefully balanced...and shooting paint at it haphazardly can cause imbalance that can lead to disastrous results in flight. So they paint it, carefully balance with the paint applied, and make sure an errant paint blob is not throwing off the balance.  Then when its perfectly balanced, they put it on the plane.

Not sure of the exact sequence, but I'm sure someone with actual knowledge will chime in and set me straight. 🙂

Thanks for showcasing these primer green colors...!! Professional grade painting job (or un-painting, as Steve says...🙂...) ...!!

Recall well seeing those colors (on both 787 and 748) during the Everett Factory Tours...
