TDS GTNXi in Carenado PC12

Featured Replies

Here is an interim solution for those who use the TDS unit in the PC12.  Unzip and drop into Community folder.

https://www.dropbox.com/s/hsy33075z6ylede/tds-gtnxi-carenado-pc12v2.2.zip?dl=0

- Defaults to GTNXi in the panel if started on Runway or Apron

- VOR2 gauge displays GTN glidepath information

- Avidyne and duplicate EADI gauges disabled for performance reasons

If not satisfied, remove from Community folder (I use Addons Linker).

This should last us until Carenado publishes a PC12 update..

Superb - thanks Bert!

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.

Intel 14900K in a Z790 motherboard with water cooling, RTX 4080, 32 GB 6000 CL30 DDR5 RAM, W11 and MSFS on Samsung 980 Pro NVME SSD's.  Core Isolation Off, Game Mode Off.

Thanks Bert!

Can also highly recommend going to Developer Mode and enabling "Nano... for XML gauges" before loading the airplane. In its current state, it helps a lot with fps. 🙂

Have they mentioned what happened in support for this on release? As I swear they posted on Facebook it was coming with TDS support out of the box. Just wondering, I don't own the aircraft yet so was just seeing why this was needed if they were supposed to release it with support in the first place.

Edit: Its's shown in a screenshot they posted in July:

TDS is physically in it but the vertical integration wasn't correctly done by Carenado.  So the glide path index marker is frozen on the EHSI for GPS approaches with vertical minimums.

The startup is with the GNS gauges in the panel, and you have to use the tablet to switch to the GTN.  The above mod changes that.  There is no state saving in this airplane, so you have to do it every time.. 😉
