What planes do you find yourself flying the most, and why?

mainly for the low fuel burn

Good point, given the price of sim fuel.

5. Milviz Corsair - Loved the show 'Black Sheep Squadron' and love this rendition in MSFS because the Corsair is one of my favorite WWII birds.  It's just simple as that.  Using this bird in VR is amazing and an experience once out of reach for most do to only a few fly it in the real world.  WWII warbirds in VR highlight what a golden experience this must have been for the real world pilots.  If I lived at the end of the war I would have hated leaving this bird behind (or the P51 for that matter).  Other aircraft even modern fighter jets don't have that essence these birds had.  My son whose a pilot now sees the distinction.  In VR you really get it.  I've seen these birds in museums all my life but didn't truly get an idea of how amazing it is to fly them until I got MSFS and a VR headset.  It was a game changer in understanding.

👍

I definitely feel you there. That is definitely a very nice plane.

I'm actually finding myself gravitating to the F6F, because it's lower stall speed and more benign landing characteristics means I'm pretty sure I can get it into shorter and more rough fields than the Corsair.

Me, I'm looking to do longer VFR and non-GPS supported flying, and one of the things that I'm finding very cool about the USN fighters is they've all got chart trays under the console. MilVis put their plane UI there, but the Flying Iron one is just a tray.

If I can figure out how to pin charts to it in game, it will be the perfect full immersion chart flyer, and I may even be able to bush plane in it.

Guess an actual flight log makes it clear.  This is my MS Excel based log since 6-1-22.  Note I was away on travel from 6-14-22 to 7-18-2022 and a lot of other things to catch up on.
