September 14, 20223 yr Airliners: Fenix A320 and sometimes the FBW A320 and the A330-900. Not going PMDG until it's released at the Marketplace. In the meantime, I go P3D if I want to fly Boeing. GA: I switch between the Carenado Mooney (because that was my favorite GA in FS9 and FSX) and the Milviz Corsair. Sometimes the default Pipistrel, since that's the only plane I've ever flown in RW (albeit just 3 minutes). I have also the Kodiak, 146 and Concorde, but I almost never find the motivation to fly them. In fact, I've never landed Concorde or the Kodiak (blasphemy!). September 14, 20223 yr I'm absolutely hooked on the HJet lately. It's a sleek sexy bizjet that makes great power. Asus Maximus X Hero Z370/ Windows 10 MSI Gaming X 1080Ti (2100 mhz OC Watercooled) 8700k (4.7ghz OC Watercooled) 32GB DDR4 3000 Ram 500GB SAMSUNG 860 EVO SERIES SSD M.2

Do you also own the Sting S4? Just watched AVAngels review. Love the canopy. Seems like a feisty little aircraft. And so does the S4. So yeah, I know what’s about to happen here. I’ll probably get both 😅 Edited September 14, 20223 yr by Cpt_Piett 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5

Quick to get in the air, good FM, great visibility, perfect VFR plane. I originally purchased the Sting S4, but there were some issues with it being jumpy / erratic in the air. I believe that this was due to something on the MSFS side. Has this issue been fixed?

September 15, 20223 yr There are simply too many. I have too many. ...The FSW 414 Chancellor is great for non-turbo prop flights for a good distance but the Milviz (apparently their name is now "Blackbird") is nice for some it's extra functions and realism (both are fairly realistic). The SWS Kodiak has been a blast for STOL capabilities but then again....the SWS Zenith STOL is also fun for rreeaallyy short flights. The MB-339 is fun for inverted trolling in multiplayer but the Big Radial Goose is great for relaxing fishing trips in the Caribbean... The PMDG 7373-700 is excellent for long haul flights in the US but the DC-6 is awesome for cargo runs in the Pacific North"wet." The CRJ and Just Flight Arrows hold a special place because they were some of the first and both are still fun to fly. Then again....the SWS Vans RV-14 is fun for short flights but the real gem of them all has to be the C-22J Ventura. Out of all the planes I think my favorite is probably the 414, Kodiak and C-22J Ventura. The latter being like 10 bucks from SimMarket and I love it. You can only fly inverted for less than 30 seconds but the amount of effort, updates and "realism" added for 10 bucks is a ton to offer. Not bad for an old jet trainer. It's VFR only but I sometimes cheat and use my GNS 750 in-game panel during night flights because its so fun. OK. I lied. I like all of the planes. Even the Carenado Seneca is fun for flights I don't have the time to set up an FMS for 20 minutes. September 15, 20223 yr I'm enjoying all that's in my hanger (Spitfire, HondaJet, etc.) but here's a few honorable mentions I've been flying mostly as of late: 1. Fenix A320 2. FBW A320NEO 3. Modded Default Longitude 4. G36 5. Milviz Corsair Side Note: FSRealistic is mostly always used now with all my aircraft. Some aircraft like the warbirds and G36 are fine without it but for some aircraft it's an amazing combination. I have TDS GTNxi in mine but it supports pms too. Not a fan of the G3X but I like RV's and Lancairs and all the newer ones have a G3X.... if SWS ever made an analogue panel (with GTN lol) I'd buy it the second it was released. Some aircraft like the warbirds and G36 are fine without it but for some aircraft it's an amazing combination. The original poster wanted reasons on top of what we're currently flying, I forgot about that above: 1. Fenix A320 - I never had a decent airbus in my sim since I basically skipped FSX and was on FS9 (mainly) until FS2020 came out. That legacy code was so buggy that I didn't bother. Even with P3D there was a high cost of hardware admission to get the most out of it. MSFS changed the game. Also once I got into using the EFB with the charts I was hooked. I don't fly the PMDG offerings for the lack of the EFB. I stayed away from airliner flying because of how screwed up the ATC/AI engine is in MSFS. Now I program the MCDU only get takeoff and landing clearance and enjoy the aspect of flying the route with accurate SID/STAR approaches. Fenix changed the game with their model of the Airbus in many other ways as well including the cabin modeling. I was a bit disappointed with the Aerosoft CRJ that I just got a few days ago where you can't incorporate SimBrief routes and Navigraph charts. I don't like going out of the sim to get the info I need. It's amazing even in MSFS the generational advancement of add-ons where you can early releases lacking features later add-ons have. You can see the same thing in early airport releases to those released today where jetways work and earlier airport releases had static jetways. I hope we get the whole A320 series from Fenix including the larger A330 series. These guys know how to do it right. This bird really shines with FSRealistic 2. FBW A320NEO - I use this more often now for much of the same reason mentioned above. This is a great mod and really makes the default NEO shine. I cut my teeth on this model before jumping into the Fenix bird. I initially preferred this over the Fenix until the deep dive into the Fenix systems changed my mind. Another good combination with FSRealistic 3. Modded Default Longitude - Always loved this bird and recently got back into it after using it with FSRealistic. Can't put it down for long now 4. G36 - The modded Turbo G36 still holds the place as my go to bird for flights around Florida where I live. Just as I do in the real world, flight over to the coast and down to the Keys is second to none in this bird in comparison to the real world 5. Milviz Corsair - Loved the show 'Black Sheep Squadron' and love this rendition in MSFS because the Corsair is one of my favorite WWII birds. It's just simple as that. Using this bird in VR is amazing and an experience once out of reach for most do to only a few fly it in the real world. WWII warbirds in VR highlight what a golden experience this must have been for the real world pilots. If I lived at the end of the war I would have hated leaving this bird behind (or the P51 for that matter). Other aircraft even modern fighter jets don't have that essence these birds had. My son whose a pilot now sees the distinction. In VR you really get it. I've seen these birds in museums all my life but didn't truly get an idea of how amazing it is to fly them until I got MSFS and a VR headset. It was a game changer in understanding. 👍 Edited September 15, 20223 yr by Dillon FS2020 Alienware Aurora R11 10th Gen Intel Core i7 10700F - Windows 11 Home 32GB Ram NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB - Pimax Crystal Light VR
September 15, 20223 yr C310 C414 BN-2 Twin Otter Kodiak These are all great fun and very well made GA models of very capable planes. I have the Fenix and the PMDG tube liners, but frankly I find being a bus driver boring. I love GA flying in scenic challenging locations and re-flying places and challenging approaches I fly IRL. I used to do a lot of fly fishing for salmon and I love those remote strips with no instrument approaches. You have to scud run after descending and cancelling IFR often out over the Ocean. Real fun in real life and in the sim. You need sharp skills and always staying way ahead of the plane and have a plan for an escape if things sock in on you. In real life I flew a C177, I find the C310 very similar to fly. A bit more challenging in tight spots but that is part of the fun. It is the thermal turbulence modelling and it effects a lot of the lighter aircraft in the game, not just the S4. Hopefully it will be better after SU10. Meanwhile, if you have the issue, avoid flying in the middle of the day and avoid open spaces and fields.
