What planes do you find yourself flying the most, and why?

Featured Replies

For tubeliner needs: PMDG 737, Fenix A320
For GA needs: Milviz C310, Sting S4
For light jets: WT CJ4
Why: IMO they're the best modelled flight dynamics and systems wise, compared to others available for MSFS currently.

Eagerly awaiting: iniBuilds A310, gliders and helis coming in SU11, PMDG 777, FBW A380, A2A Commanche

I'm finding when I have under an hour to spare it's any of the props for a quick scenic flight, often based on some area I've watched on an aviation YouTube channel,  if I have a bit more time it's the H-Jet as I can do some VFR if on a flight I spot some great scenery and want to drop down........when time permits the PMDG 737/738 as I like to fly them on real world air routes and start with Simbrief flight planning etc...

I know its not a plane, but no matter what other planes I am flying, I just keep going back to Flyinside's Bell 47G every couple days. Its like an itch I have to scratch lol. I was never into helicopters before I got this. It so beautiful and satisfying.

Lately it's been the Analog Caravan and C310. I'll hop in the C414 too. But hooked up my old yoke and PFC throttle quadrant and been using VR. It's been awesome. Plus I recently found a group to fly VFR with. For the first time in my history of using FS, I'm able to fly with folks and it's been a game changer. Not just using Vatsim, but MSFS multiplayer. The plane refresh rate is incredible...lighting effects, seeing their gear/flaps/ailerons/etc in real time is so neat. Flying low through rivers or in weird places all over the world, seeing the dust effects from the prop wash on the ground as we fly low in formation. I can't remember the last time I've experienced such joy flying in any flight sim.

Leonardo Maddog for me thats If I even want to  fly in the winding down Summer days  much. Looking forward to SU10/11 and some A310 and DC3 action in November. May even try some Helis but no soar planes for me though.

PMDG B738, Aerosoft CRJ-700, oem B78X w/ HD mod.  I use A Pilot's Life v2 which scores all my flights and to be very proficient according to their criteria (hehe!) I can only do 3-5 planes maximum.  I'm waiting for PMDG 777 and maybe Majestic Q400 if it's truly magnificent.   I just bought the awesome TCA Boeing Edition Yoke which clearly favors airliners as I do.  I don't see why it won't be fabulous in small GA aircraft as well though that's rare for me at the moment.  Which plane I will fly in large part depends on what the airline I work for puts me on for that particular route.  I am licensed in those 3 planes.

What plane(s) do I find myself flying the most?: The PMDG 737 in MSFS

Did not see this coming!!  hehe

Fenix A320 for my airliner needs (and when I have the time), JPL C152 for my old school VOR-only GA needs. I am done with GPS and all that glass in GA (for now). I did use the C310 (with the old radio stack) up to not too long ago but its AP sucks big time and I really like the mood/ambiance/looks of the C152. Didn't fly the default C152 much because the default version has no AP but after I recently discovered the great JPL mod (incl. the best KAP140 in MSFS so far) I fly it a LOT. I don't always feel like doing the entire A320 flow and I also like to enjoy the scenery more so I switch between the Fenix and the JPL C152 all the time. I don't need (or want) much planes in my hangar.

Fenix A320 for 80% of the flights and the 737-700 afterwards, then just a little VFR with the Kodiak here and there.

Holding my breath for the A310 in hopes it'll be the first flyable long-hauler so i can extend my flying to remote places 🙂

The Fenix A320, unsurprisingly. Like many, I've been a little disappointed with PMDG lately, but the -800 is an absolute beast, especially hand flying, so it's slowly catching up with the Fenix.

As far as enjoying the scenery goes, and also to explore smaller airfields, the Caravan with the G100 NXI has been a great surprise.

LoL...I know right?

//Conspiracy mode on

I may have a different Boeing aircraft to answer with... if this question is asked later this year. 🤐

//Conspiracy mode off

the Camair 480.

It is really surprising how that one has come together after a patchy first release. It just keeps getting better every update.

Mostly the PMDG 737-700 and 800 Then occasionally the Fenix A320 and FBW A320Neo. I never thought i would enjoy the 737 so much but i certainly do. I fly the Fenix a very distant second. The Fenix while feature complete needs a little more polish and for the FBW the lack of "Final App" on the RNAV stuff is starting to bug me so ill patiently wait till they complete that aspect.
