These look stunning in the photos, 30gig of data wow.  So these then are no just the default 3D trees but whole other sets of 3D trees I wonder?  It's not clear to me.

And, are they compatible with the weather for snow, wind movements etc?

The second version of Global Forests builds up on the previous release, with support for new the forestry and 3D vegetation engine of XPlane12.

What I take from this is that native 3D trees are used to populate these forests.
Oh and they do have a free demo for XP12 covering Eastern Europe, see at the bottom of their website at www.global-forests.com

Basically everything can be covered by snow (or ice), e.g. houses, trees, grass, runways (possibly even cars on parking lots, haven't tried it yet). However, streets are not covered with snow.

Breathtaking! 😁

Edit: even the cars at the parking lot of FlyTampa's LGKR (some years old) are covered with snow, whereas the car in the background on the street is not.

Nice shots, thanks.

Ben had mentioned in one of the posts that the amount of snow would depend on the angle that the object's surfaces make with the horizontal plane.

Great job Laminar. Hard to beat the level of realism.
