So...after 2 days GSX in MSFS. I AM REALLY ENJOYING THIS. I find the menu really a bit clunky. This automatic closing should be adjustable either with longer times in seconds adjustable by user (min 10 maximum 60 or so) or it should be possible to choose stay open or close automatically.

The next update, which will be released sometime next week, won't have the the auto-close option anymore, and will have a configurable Hot key to open close the menu so, it will work like this:

- You start GSX from the Toolbar icon only the first time you enter a flight.

- Once the icon is Active, you leave it like that, and open or close the menu with the Hot Key  ( it's Ctrl+Shift-F12, like it always was, but can be changed )

Again, sorry for the off-topic question, but in case my earlier one was missed, are there news on KIAH in the meantime?

Thanks for this! This is a nice feature and much appreciated.

I do wish making the custom routes was more simple

The secret to it is to work backwards from the point where you want your aircraft to end up towards the starting point. You adjust the last point in the pushback first and rotate it as necessary then insert one or more intermediate points with F6 - adjust with the arrow keys and rotate with F7/F8 or num pad 1 and 3.

Keep reminding yourself that you are working backwards as you insert points and it will start to make sense.

The same principle applies to passenger walking points.

It's very odd. First flight this morning from Cardiff (Superspud) in the Fenix and GSX worked really well and enhanced the whole experience. But just now from Prague (Default) with the PMDG737 it was a disaster. Jetways not connecting. People floating through the air. Trying to get the fuel truck to work. And that infernal message that tells you that the gate/ramp is too small for your plane when it ISN'T!!

The stop point needs to be edited for that gate in Prague. The airplane was either too close or too far away for the jetway to operate, hence the floating pax.

There is an option on the settings page to ignore the gate being too small.

What's up with your fuel truck? Make sure progressive refueling and detect custom fuel system are turned on, too.

If GSX says the parking is too small, it's because IT IS too small, according to the only data GSX can possibly know about it, that is the parking radius, which of course can be customized. In addition to that, GSX in MSFS will allow you to use a "too small" parking, even if it's too small. And if you are bothered by the "infernal" (correct) message, there's even an option that will let you ignore the parking radius everywhere, the "Ignore Wingspan when Parking" in the Settings.

 Jetways not connecting,

This has been explained so many times, that I'm starting to lose count.

GSX in MSFS doesn't control Jetways!!  All jetways you see in GSX are JUST replacement models for the default ones, but they are still default Jetways controlled by the default animation systems, which has several issues, which would have been exactly the same, under the same conditions (same airport, same gate, same airplane in the same parking position) if you never had GSX installed. Fact you see an "operate Jetway" menu option in GSX doesn't mean GSX controls their movement: the only thing it does, is to send the standard jetway trigger command, as if you were calling the jetway from the default ATC ground services menu, calling it from GSX won't make any difference, if your parking position wasn't good for the jetway to solve.

With a GSX customization of the Stop position, you can usually help the jetway solve better, which is why there's a Test function ( NumPad-5 while editing a Parking position ), to check if the jetway will work better from a different position and save it in the airport profile.

People floating through the air.

That was precisely because the Jetway didn't dock!  As explained so many times, the SDK doesn't provide a way to know WHERE a jetway has docked, sometimes it docks to the wrong door, sometimes it docks partially but the problem is, none of this can be detected in any way, so GSX can only "assume" you parked the airplane in a position resulting in the jetway docking properly on the Main passengers exit, and hope for the best.

Passengers will walk over a path they were supposed to, HAD the jetway docked correctly, because there's no way to know it hasn't.

"detect custom fuel system" should be left Disabled as it is by default, because it's only required in very rare cases, when the airplane has a turnaround simulation that results in the plane start refueling itself after some time it was started, so it helps GSX keep up with the event and have its fuel truck being sent in that case. I don't think any 3rd party airplanes in MSFS has this feature, so it should be left Disabled, but it's there in case of need.
