Recommended 737 MCP for MSFS PMDG 737-700

Featured Replies

Hi,

as the title suggests I’m looking for recommendations for a decent plug and play MCP to use with my PMDG 737-700 in MSFS.

Anyone who is running one your insights would be appreciated , especially on ease of set up.

I’m currently  using a Mini X-touch Midi controller through Axis and Ohs which works fine but looking to upgrade. Also Ideally looking  for a unit that I can expand with an EFIS unit at a later date but it’s not a deal breaker if the MCP itself is a decent unit.

Thanks in advance,

Steve

Hi , i have used the Cpflight MCP 737 EL for at least 5 years now with plug and play modules. Works in beta Stage in MSFS. I havent had any issues after latest FSUIPC version.

I also have EFIS,NAV 1 and 2 , com 1 and 2,transponder, ADF1.

thanks for that. Does it require a paid for version of FSUIPC or just the basic free version?

thanks again

I use the free version in MSFS (for now anyway)

Hasn't PMDG disabled the SDK data broadcast line in one of the latest updates? I remember people complaining some of their hardware ceased working.

Opencockpits MCP module together with rksoftware like Oi4FS + OiPMDG737 will let you have a good and affordable solution and give you a good foundation for adding more Opencockpits modules over time.

Works for the PMDG 737 in MSFS and PMDG B737 NGXu inP3D and will also have support for the coming PMDG 747 and B777 in MSFS.

rksoftware Oi4FS support all Opencockpits panels: OVH-AFT, OVH-FWD, MIP,  MCP, CDU, PEDESTAL

You can even use the Opencockpits MCP with FBW A320, WT CJ4, ASOBO B747 and B787 and all airplanes that use the G1000 NXi avionics from Working Title.

Hi. I have now installed PMDG 737 800 in Fs2020, and I try to get my CP flight MCPEL to work with it. I have installed the latest drivers from CPflight and I have a paid FSuipc 7. When  I start FS_com.exe everything seems to be ok. The numbers from the MCP in the sim and on my MCP are the same, but when I turn the knobs on my MCP nothing happens in the sim. If I turn the knobs in the sim with the mouse, the numbers on my MCP change, so there is a one way communication. Can anyone tell me what to do to establish a two way communication?

There is also Core Flight Tech.  They seem to be on the rise.  Active discord server.  Increasing support with Spad.next.  I don't own one myself however.

My CP flight MCP problem is solved. A new FSCom.exe file solved it. Very good support from Paolo at CP flight during the week end.
