Update Today 1.8 gigs

Recommended Posts

That’s a long list.

I do miss further multi monitor development aa many people with multiple monitors do not have them at a 45 degrees angle. Most are using a smaller angle or have them in line and then you need to zoom in a lot…..

I'm not in beta, didn't get any update in Store, but I did get an update in-sim at start up. Just a small one.

When was the last time you launched the sim? They released an AIRAC cycle update last week.

At the beta forum I read that several people are having CTD’s and Limited main thread usage….

I will wait a little to see how this goes before opting in the beta.

I've been playing  on and off today. No update.

Until a few minutes ago, booted up msfs and 1.88 GB update: standard content, Deluxe upgrade content, all the Reno planes updated, 152 aerobat updated, kingair 350 , 172, vehicles, fsbase soundpacks: all updated. And  some other stuff that zipped by too fast for me to see the file names.

It IS 1.88 GB, therefore it has to be the same thing that the OP posted about.

In other words, if you're in the beta and you didn't get an update, then you will soon! (I'm in the beta still).

PS I also DL the brand new game ready Nvidia driver that folks say improved DX12 smoothness and issues.

I'm off to test what changes these 2 things made (MSFS update and new Nvidia driver with DX 12).

I noticed this in the WASM section of the release notes:

  • It is now possible to make HTTP request through Wasm. See documentation for more information

This is great to see. It means, for example, that PMDG should now be able to implement support for importing flight plans directly from Simbrief, without having to save them to a file first. (To be clear, this won't happen automatically with SU11 - PMDG would need to do something on their side to take advantage of the new capability.) For aircraft that use WASM, this should also open the door to all sorts of other integrations with external services.

That's true, but people are only discussing DLSS 3.0 and GPUs there, not the many other changes that SU11 will bring.

Edit: Disregard, I see there is another thread here where people are discussing all of what is in the beta:

After updating to SU 11 Beta, MSFS will not load, it  CTD's. It was loading fine with no issues before the SU11 Beta was installed.

I would advise you all not to be joining the beta at this time because the MSFS forum is filled with others having same issue.

I rolled back out of the beta (easy on Steam). and now MSFS  boots up fine.

But from previous  experience, this means when SU 11 is officially released, I will probably have to reinstall a 100 GB or more from content manager.

So I still advise not to join the beta until the reports of CTD's keeping  MSFS from booting up go away.

I just got the beta update(forgot I never left it) seems great to me (on 51740 studio drivers). Ran a quick flight out of Ibiza to Mallorca w pmdg 737.  Smooth as silk 60 FPS 4k DLSS quality on all high settings a few ultra.  Look, this is the grail for me, I dont need 120FPS honestly, I would just be looking to get more consistent lows and drop outs now so no more irritating stutters on rotation at bigger airports etc.  5900x+3080 10Gb

Well after rolling back out of the beta, MSFS booted up, but could not get past the main screen to go FLY. So I was forced to verify the files  on Steam, resulting in a 101 GB download to restore the files. Next will come a similar amount in the content manager. A few hours of fun, LOL.

Oh well I guess doing this BETA was not such a great idea. I did all the other BETAs with narry a problem. But this one instantly killed the sim.

having the same ctd on initial load issue. On the official forums a lot of hints pointing to carenado and/or microsoft branded official stuff. Currently cleaning my official folder to see if it helps.

Cheers T.
