December 18, 20223 yr When I was a kid I had a Bell 206 plastic model that had a way to attach pontoons or just the regular landing gear as I wanted. They just snapped on and off as needed. It was one of my favorite models when I was growing up. Just one of those little things a 10 year old kid who loves airplanes and helicopters would love. At times I have felt nostalgic and tried to find that model kit but it seems long gone now. I would love to have a Bell 206 with pontoons and preferably the same model with other landing gear options in MSFS. I believe I got news recently about a Bell 206 in the works for MSFS but I don't think it mentioned anything about a pontoon option. Maybe it did and I missed it but if not it would be cool if it was added. I think they had a few landing gear options for the Bell 206. Regular plain old landing gear and then some that were more robust for landing in softer terrain and sand. Plus of coarse the pontoons for landing on water. Its a versatile machine and it would be cool if its properly modeled in MSFS. Same as above but a Hughes 500 as its a cool machine as well but I have always had a soft spot for the Bell 206.
December 19, 20223 yr I'm mostly a fan of small, fast utility helos, so in addition to the perrenial favorite Hughes MDs, I vote for Gazelle. Also have recently fallen head over heels for the SA 315 Llama. A Huey Cobra of any sort, but preferably some what recent Sea Cobra On the medium size, a really good HH-60, even if it's the old steam gauge ones. Sea Hawk for UnRep & frigates, or Pave Hawks because Cool. And of course, an Mi-26 to carry them around in 🙂
