World Hub entering Alpha

Featured Replies

Any excitement on the World Hub feature entering Alpha? Did someone here applied and got news?

For those who skipped the last SDK Live Stream, it's a basic way to improve the .xml definition of ignored airfields/airports by fixing for example taxiways organisation/signs, close vegetation... despite Eric Pellisier mentionned MSFS library would be accessible but no custom 3D objects addition possibility. A cool way to involve the community, at least the one that want to participate, for the ten's thousand airfields around the world which suffered from automatic re-creation process.

Here the link of the SDK stream with the timecode of World Hub : https://youtu.be/0G512kRLPOQ?t=2196

This is a great idea and is something I have been pondering for a while. Anything that fixes the airport taxiways, signs and absurdly placed trees and lights is something that can't come quick enough.

5800X3D - Strix X570-E - 32GB 3600Mhz DDR4 - AMD RX 9070 XT- Samsung 980 Pro x2

Agreed this is very cool and from a personal viewpoint it may help alleviate one of my pet peeves (in time), that being the thousands of airports without a parking spot meaning you can't start Cold & Dark as your only option is either end of the runway and the game defaults to your plane/chopper already running.

In time seeing some decent remote airports get a simple parking spot is gonna open up even more areas to properly explore, whilst maintaining that specific simulation from the moment you get in the plane.

Of course that's not to mention the other great things that could come from this world hub, exciting indeed.

Pico Neo3 Link VR - Windows 11 64bit, Gigabyte Z590 Aorus Elite Mobo, i7-10700KF CPU, Gigabyte RX 9070 XT OC 16gb (AMD GPU), 32gig Corsair 3600mhz RAM, SSD x2 + M.2 SSD 1tb x1

Saitek X45 HOTAS - Saitek Pro Rudder Pedals - Logitech Flight Yoke - Homemade 3 Button & 8-directional Joystick Box, SNES Controller (used as a Button Box - Additional USB Numpad (used as a Button Box)

  • 4 months later...

so the world hub is used to modify runway numbering, add or edit streets, it will also be used to edit taxi lanes, to solve takeoff problems from some airports where they get stuck until they disappear or I'm lost

Ok. As far as I understand your post, this is not related to the World Hub initiative. What you seems requesting is a general improvement (or fix) for the Microsoft/Asobo where the World Hub is a airport per airport process based on the community.

By the way, as this topic has been bumped, the last news shared during the May Live Q/A by Jorg the 4th of May pointed that we'll need a huge amount of patience before seeing the World Hub core website compliant with Xbox rules 😉
