Does anyone know if this a/c is going to get increased functionality at some point? So many of the switches are dummy and don't do anything or even move...

Default King Air May still get some attention. The recent AAU by the WT team is already improving the Garmin avionics to study level. Now that the config files have been unlocked by Asobo, 3rd party devs might jump in.

That said, +1 for the Black Square Analogue KA. One of the best aircraft in my hanger. Worth every cent.

Would really love to see the ProLine 21 version one day. Especially since the CJ4 pl21 is already being worked on by Working Title

To what extent do 3rd party devs have control over the 3d model etc? wish someone w'd implement opening of king air doors (just like mugz did for TBM) and if black square can model the chocks and other static equipment that w'd be great too..

I think 3rd parties can easily tweak the flight model parameters by making adjustments to the config files. Must be tedious work and you have to know what you are doing. The 3D model is different though as I understand that requires a total redraw of the aircraft. A lot of work in other words but it is possible. There is a C172 mod on FS.to where the doors now open. In the mugz TBM mod, the opening doors were already built/designed into the default 3D aircraft by Asobo but for some reason they were disabled in the config files. So it was more a case of activating an existing feature. Probably a little more complicated that of course.
