December 15, 20223 yr Speaking of hydration how times change. I played football in high school, (well actually practiced more then I played😂). That was in the hot late summer heat in Columbus Georgia. In those days no water breaks for an entire practice. I think they considered that conditioning. This is kids 14 to 17 getting sick and throwing up. "Coaches called it feeding the birds". I remember once a bunch of us lined up at a fountain after practice and the coach yelling at us " get away from there. Yall haven't done anything to deserve water. In the Army basic training was similar. You only took a drink when they told you to and no more swallows than they said. Vic green
