I'm amazed how well this runs on my old laptop!

The subject line says it all. I'm running the Xbox Game Pass version on my PC, and it runs better than P3dV4 for me; that's a total shock to me and allowed me to buy the 414A from my favorite dev years before I thought it possible. I'm sure there's some tradeoffs going on, but I'm pleased as punch. I hope everyone has the same experience. If you're an Xbox game pass member, you might want to try running MSFS on your pc using the Xbox app, you might get much better results than you hoped.

Happy Christmas, everyone!

Oh yeah on medium settings at 1080p you can get away with pretty low hardware and get a decent presentation.

The great thing about MSFS is that it gave old hardware ("potatoes") a new lease on life.

When MSFS was released I expected having to spend a significant amount on new hardware.

Nope. Sim at medium settings with a 1080p resolution runs just fine. Keep in mind that I'm running MSFS on 8 gigs, not of video ram, but on system ram.

I'll check and see what my bonus is this year, might get a new rig sometime next year.

Yup, I have an entry level i5 and a 2060. Pretty average compared to some of the monsters people in here have bought. And tbh it runs great! Have a mix of settings, from medium to ultra and it never skips a beat. Almost always smooth, and it looks incredible (I honestly struggle to see the difference when I just throw everything on ultra).
