What's the deal with the rain?

Featured Replies

Since the last beta for me it’s raining all the bloody time, it’s ridiculous….it’s been raining when there are no clouds….doing my head in….I fly the Challenger 650 and when I’m taxing I can’t see we’re I’m going …it’s way over the top and needs sorting asap….very annoying

you gotta check the "check for betas" option if you want the latest.

I've generally found real weather to be about 5 minutes ahead or behind of the RW.

Like it rains irl about 5 minutes before or after in the sim.

last time it rained on me in the sim, I thought, huh, that's unrealistic, is blue sky outside.

went to the shop

on the way back.

got rained on.

You should be a software developer, fix one thing break another, than get yelled at by users who do not understand the nature of such things. Thats annoying.

I am on 12.06b2 since its release

When i say 'nothing has changed' i refer solely to the subject of this thread 'what's up with the rain'.
Many other things do have changed obviously with which I am happy, like improved rendering in VR (better but not yet perfect)

But I can't help notice that with each flight, anywhere in Europe or the USA I have flown, sooner or later at some point in the flight it will rain.

The rain bug was supposedly introduced by Austin in trying to model supercooling.

I believe I read about this somewhere, sometime ago.

Just experienced it today here in the Lisbon area, transitioning from BKN to SCT and raining like floods ...

I think 12.06 fits the "when it rains, it pours" saying.
