February 23, 20233 yr I opted out after accidentally upgrading on steam. Everything went smooth. BUT...now I'm having a real strange issue....I'm unable to choose a parking spot from the world map. The "Set Departure / Arrival" pop up that's supposed to appear when clicking on a parking spot, just gets completely cut off. I now have to choose the parking spot from the drop down menu. It's not the biggest deal in the world...just an annoying bug. However, it certainly confirms that rolling back does not put you back to where you were 100%. This was absolutely NOT happening prior to opting into the beta.. Something during the install / revert caused it.
February 23, 20233 yr I went into BETA just for AAU1. Once that went live and there were no beta’s active, I opted out. On Steam it was seamless. Nothing even downloaded after opting out. My advice to anyone wanting to opt out of betas, do it after the current beta goes live, before the next one starts. That way there is nothing to roll back, nothing to download. That was my exact problem. 1st time for problems after opting out of a beta on Steam. Constantly CTDs. Even with blank community folder Ended up wiping the install, and re-installed with out the Beta. February 23, 20233 yr A reinstall is not a big issue if you make a BACKUP BEFORE JOINING the beta... Make sure you make a copy of the main install folder. In case MSFS needs a reinstall, just copy it back to the official folder and you can skip the download. Takes around 30-60 minutes depending on your disk drives.
