What did I miss? Citation Longitude

Thought we ready to roll, engines running, controls working including throttle, brakes off, but says hydraulic pressure is low, brake failure, and when I push on the throttle nothing happens.  I flew this plane a lot the first 8 months or so but not since it's been reworked.

Thanks in advance!

Sounds more like you pressed something you didn't need to. Never seen that issue.

Not in the SIM at the moment so can't check, but if you pressed the button that used to "Arm Auto Spoilers" - it does something else now, not sure if that could be the source of your issue .. ..

While we're here, is there any way to open the cargo hold door(s)?

Well, same same, meaning it appears engines are running but moving the throttle doesn't do anything except the throttle levers do move in sync w/ TQ.  Here's what it looks like and I'm not sure how to resolve the items in the notifications box or whatever it's called.  In case you can't read them it's:

  • BRAKE FAIL
  • HYD FW SHUTOFF A-B
  • P/S BUTTON ON
  • HYD PRESSURE LOW A-B
  • NO TAKEOFF

Under Hydraulics it doesn't seem to matter where I put the switch positions for A & B.  Has to be something very basic but I don't see it

A couple  of things.

The  hyd problem is exactly what it says, The hyd shutoff is closed. Check the 2 hyd switches on the front r/h side of the pedestal. Make sure they are in the normal position. If so, check the control menu for Hydraulics. Make sure there is nothing anywhere bound to the hyd shutoff function.

PS BUTTON. Should be at normal. The pitot/static heat is now automatic. Dont turn it on.

NO TAKEOFF. The trim is not in the green band.

Also noticed no V SPEEDS warning on the PFD.

First empty your community folder: nowadays the oddest things can cause problems, so it seems.

Secondly, the default state of the plane (on a parking spot in cold and dark) is almost completely ready: maybe you are doing too much button pushing as trainnut already indicated.
I made a sort of short checklist for myself a while ago which only shows everything I really need to do (and even on this list a few steps can be skipped! But do that for now). Start a new flight (cold and dark) and go through all these steps (and NOTHING more) and let us know if things still won't work. Leave every other button as it is!

To actually get going, as in taxiing, you would only need the first four steps plus the four engine start steps...

In order to get rid of this message you need to do three things:
- trim should be in the green (as trainnut already set)
- flaps should be at 50%
- handbrake should be off

If you start using CTRL+e, you must also press on the 2 Start Engine buttons.

Flaps should be as set in your takeoff performance settings, default is flaps 1. There is no flaps 50% in the Longitude.

Correct, my bad, I had the Vision Jet still in the back of my mind. ;)

The Longitude is silly easy to start. There's only 3 steps. Turn on the batteries, then APU, then start the engines. Thats it. You'll also need to turn the ALT HSI display on, set your trim and release parking break, but if you do all those things, there really shouldn't be any CAS messages. If that doesn't work, then you should probably start going through your community folder, because as I mentioned before, the C700 is like, one of the easiest planes to get up and running.

To be fair the CJ4 & HondaJet are the same so it's an easy mistake to make.

For some reason SU12 fixed the fact I had the engines running but pushing on the throttle only moved the animations the engines were disconnected from it, so all's fine now.  Lots of nice changes!  Will they add movable doors and a HUD some day do we know?

When MSFS was released, the HUD on the real world Longitude wasn't actually certified yet (I think it got certified some time in late 2021), so that's probably why it wasn't included.
