Listen to the voices in FSHud...😉

Yeah, they are great, aren't they! A lot better than these stitched together soundclips:

May I fully disable AI control in FSHud? Not my cup of tea as PSXT AI traffic lives by its own rules.

Don't care much about voices. Realism and complexity of ATC instructions are my priorities.

Yes, you may. I used FSHud for almost a year without any AI.

BTW Flight1 (FSHud) has a 30 day return policy.

I do wonder though how you are wanting to use ATC when you have traffic all around you which is NOT controlled by ATC...

I will try Pilot-2ATC first as it has fully-functional trial version. FSHud simplicity is very tempting on the other hand.

Just buy everything like me 🤣,  I am a proud owner of Pilot2Atc, PF3, FSHud, VoxAtc, ProAtc…….

If you also actually used all those addons then this makes your view on which one is best more valid than the view of some others (including me)! 😉

Yep... The fact alone that it's an install-and-use program is an advantage. No need to fool around with makerunways or setting up databases (P2ATC), adding sids and stars manually (PF3)... No, just install it, run it and it works right away.

Well...perhaps I would eventually follow your pattern, but in a sequential order 🙂 I'm currently on a buying spree for MSFS sceneries,

F1 still has their return policy active, I hope. Thanks. Perhaps I will start with FSHud.

Well...it's a lot of fun, actually, trying to squeeze into EGLL landing flow with 1.5-2nm separation between real AI (PSXT projects true operations, which is a beauty of this program). In other airports with multiple runways I will be hoping to request different runaway, not utilized by dep/arr traffic. Hope FSHud can do ths.

It doesn't work for everyone as it's relatively expensive and requires a fair bit of focus, but if realism and complexity are your priorities you won't get any more real and complex than Pilotedge. You can trial it for five hours. It's such a game changer that despite MSFS having the entire world, I only fly Western USA. Without real ATC I just can't get immersed.

I read about them a few year ago. A bit of overkill for me, but I respect the effort.

Yeah I understand that. Tempted to get an offline ATC product too as sometimes Pilotedge is a just a little too hardcore and I want to relax.

That was me - before using FSHud.

In my first flights with FSHud I continued to do so and disabled all AI traffic in FSHud, using PSXT. So you can absolutely do so and use FSHud like any other so-called ATC addon. You have to find your own way into the traffic flow that is independent from you and not controlled by the ATC-addon; after all you use the ATC-addon as nothing more than a more or less intelligent chat robot.

But - that is totally unrealistic. Which is pretty obvious actually, I just wasn't aware because I was so used to it for years.

Then I experienced how FSHud controls all traffic and you are just one of them. You hear all the chatter and see the AI aircraft move accordingly. They are told to hold position for you or you are told to hold position for them. No aircraft running through you and disappearing. All that without the quirks of the default AI traffic.

That is such an immersive experience I don't think I will ever be able to go back to PSXT with PF3.

Interesting. But for now, I just cannot live without PSXT/RT (really mind-blowing thing). Who knows, perhaps within 2-4 years ASOBO would finally find some time to develop at least a proper SDK for AI traffic. I'm not even asking to their own effort in this area 🙂
