Does anyone recommend a program for those who don't have, or want, to use a microphone? P2A won't even function without one installed.

PF3, I hate using a headset and microphone.

I think your end goal should be to use it with the app window completely minimized. If you have your co-pilot respond and tunr radios then your only speaking for clearance, pushback, on final and taxiing to parking. Your co-pilot will handle every other interaction.

Why is the co-pilot not handling every ATC interaction? Is there an option to change this?

You can plug a pair of headphones (I used a pair of cheap earbuds)  into the mic socket of your PC and Pilot2ATC is happy with that, enabling you to use text inputs for the program.

Yes. You can have the co-pilot do everything, do nothing, or just do the speech, leaving you to manually tune the radios. Personally, I think that last option is back to front. I wouldn't mind the co-pilot tuning the radios for me but I'd like to do the speaking myself. ("You're gabled!")

EDIT: I misread your question; I didn't see 'not'. Still...

Ok, everybody should get ready for the new version of Fshud.

I am now participating in the 1.3 Beta and it is the best offline Atc and AI experience I had in twenty years of Flightsim. And yes I own all the Atc addons!

They totally reworked the voices, the AI is now great in combination with Fsltl liveries. It actually controls all the AI not like background Atc. They fixed so many bugs, it is almost like you fly on Vatsim but then offline and with a lot of traffic.

The easy interface is so much better then PF3 or Pilot2Atc!

This is the future of offline Atc, I am really astonished with this new version!

I am sure with this new version you don’t want any other Atc software anymore!

Good news! I am a huge fan and daily user of FSHud already so... it's great to know the update will make it even better (as I anticipated already!)!

I think the frequency of posts of this guy regarding FSHud is slightly too high.

Let's say that I need to choose  ATC software and I'm not worrying about AI handling at all, as I'm utilizing PSXT/RT Pro combo that exists beyond the Simconnect realm,...what would you recommend in terms of overall realism and reliability - FSHud or Pilot-to-ATC? Also, I'm not interested in the voice control. For many years I had been using RC and PRO-ATC.

Thank you!

Lets see a video featuring the new sounds you are  raving about. Why do you keep avoiding this question?

So with P2A, will fs2crew not be necessary anymore since I've read that P2A can have the co-pilot do everything for you while you as the pilot can focus on other things?

I'm also looking for an offline ATC that can integrate well with fs2crew's airline addons.

That's not FSHud or P2ATC. 😉

Some will say FSHud, some will say P2ATC. It's up to you to pick one. There is plenty of info available on this forum by now. FSHud is sort of the new kid in town and currently in a new beta which makes it a lot better than the previous version. Easy to use and set up. P2ATC is old(er) but (afaik) has good support. It has a LOT of options and stuff (way too much imho). I do think P2ATC is more voice oriented: in order to use keys you have to keep an (ugly) interface onscreen all the time. FSHud has a small interface, only a few options (which is a plus)... But well... read  my other posts about it, I'd say.

And PF3 has no interface at all once you start your flight. Listen to the voices in FSHud...😉

P2A only handles radio comms with ATC. Fs2crew does all the flows and checklists just like FSFO.

I will try Pilot-2ATC first as it has fully-functional trial version. FSHud simplicity is very tempting on the other hand.
