Boy do I love Air Travel...

...Air Travel airlines 😉

Good afternoon from a foggy Changsha as we begin boarding of Air Travel 7185, with non-stop service from Changsha to Turpan, a silk road city deep in the arid mountains of northwest China.

We pushback just after 1:00 in the afternoon with a medium passenger load and a nearly full fuel load for this 4 hour and 40 minute flight

After a short taxi, landing lights and strobes come on as we enter 36R for takeoff

After a winding climb out of Changsha, we break out of the smog and start making our way westward

As we reach our cruising altitude of 10,400 meters, the air has cleared and we are graced with a beautiful view of the Middle Yangtze Basin

As we make our way west toward Chongqing and Sichuan province, we fly alongside the Qinling mountains

Further along, we cross into Qinghai province, with yet more beautiful mountains and Qinghai Lake, the largest lake in China, visible in the distance:

As we fly over Gansu and later Xinjiang province, the landscape slowly grows more arid

As we approach top of descent, blue skies give way to whispy desert clouds

Soon after we begin our descent we are already over the outskirts of Turpan

A Sharp turn to final

Welcome to Turpan!

Still can't get over how amazing the landscapes in MSFS continue to look. It really makes what would otherwise be long and tedious flights so much more interesting and exciting.

See you next time!

Any attempt to stretch fuel is guaranteed to increase headwinds

Rende davvero molto più interessanti ed eccitanti quelli che altrimenti sarebbero voli lunghi e noiosi.
