TDS GTNXi and HAGS

Featured Replies

I just enabled HAGS to switch to FG and I get a warning message at startup from TDS indicating that I should switch HAGS off.

For those of you using both, are you having any issues?

No, you can use both. I have been doing that for awhile without any issues.

You can disable that message (details in the manual) or you can go to the TDS discord or support forums and ask for an experimental build which allows for HAGS enabled.  Been working well for me.  The biggest issue I saw with hags off was in VR but the exp build fixed any issues I had.

I just read in the manual that if I do the work around to remove that message they won't guarantee the same performance. I guess I will just deal with the message for now

Don’t waste time searching Discord or the manual.

We offer the possibility for customers to disable showing this warning message box, however we can not guarantee optimal performance. Disabling the warning message box is done by adding a line in the ini file. The location of the INI File is: C:\ProgramData\TDS\GTNXi\FlightSimEXE\TDSGTN.ini Look for the [General] section, in case it is missing, you must create it yourself as the first item on top. Please make absolutely sure that you do not have multiple [General] sections. Under the [General] section, you must add: GPUSchedulingDisabled = 1

From my experience the “message” is simply an “annoyance”. Having it on or removed changes nothing to the operation of the GTNxi, which works just fine on my 4070ti HAGS enabled, FG TSS VSYNC @ 120 hz to 1440p screen.

Crystal clear, almost nary a stutter and consistent 100 FPS at mega airports like IniBuilds LAX and JFK

It's just a message about the compatibility between hags and the gtn.

If you run frame gen and run at high resolutions I'd still recommend asking for the experimental build.

Ryan,

Is it a new experimental version of the GTN or the NanoVG option in the sim's developer mode?

The only thing I saw on their Discord was a note about NanoVG.

No it's not the nanovg thing.  It's a new build that allows people running 40xx series cards to also run HAGS and use the TDS like normal.

Installed today with TDS assistance. It completely returned all the previous “snap, crackle and pop” responsiveness of the GTNxi. A noticeable lag had been introduced with HAGS on which needed to be on in order to have Frame Generation and the almost doubling of FPS.

It worked perfectly from my perspective. Now I get consistently 120+ FPS and a GTN menus that are just as swift!
