April 29, 20233 yr ATR 72-600 engine failure procedure - YouTube I've heard that currently the props don't autofeather? There are no failures modelled on the ATR, so they probably didn't model anything that comes after a failure either. For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

But is it at least possible to feather a prop? I rather like it. I do believe it has a 'feathered mode' when you start the engines and put the 'condition levers' (the correct term is probably something else.. 😉) in that detent. But to what extent this is simulated I don't know. Richard 7950x3d | 32Gb 6000mHz RAM | 8Tb NVme | RTX 4090 | MSFS | P3D | XP12
April 29, 20233 yr One thing I've been thinking about is if it is correct that an ATR72 with, say, 50% load will start moving at idle with the 'condition levers' in AUTO. On yesterdays flight I really had to use the brakes for it to not run away from me while taxiing. ... might be something else I've done wrong. ATR is a new experience for me to say the least. As far as I could tell from RL operations youtubes, that's realistic 🙂 the YouTube channel linked above from a RL atr instrutor has examples... Yes, the condition lever has a FTR position, if that is what you mean (I'm no expert on turboprops). For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. Yes, that's normal apparently. You will find a lot is different in the ATR. I quite like it for that. Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind). I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio. April 29, 20233 yr I really like this plane myself. The low price kinda scared me & I thought it would be junk considering the price but so far pretty darn good plane. Plus I had Hans ATR from FS9 that ported over to FSX back in the day from flight 1. Just as good as the old ATR 72-500 from back in the day as far as I am concerned. Happy Landings
April 29, 20233 yr Really enjoying it as well, The first day or so takes a bit of time to get the head around it's systems and quirks... But once understood i have been enjoying a lot of regional flights from the Channel Islands to various airports on the mainland , and France.
