Southwest of Manila

Recommended Posts

By accident I recently found at the .to site a fantastic free scenery add-on for various places in and around Manila (I have lived and worked there for many years, hence the interest in this particular area). I have been flying there now for the last couple of days and this scenery is a true gem. Here is just a small selection of pics I have taken. The next time I will go there by boat, should be even more interesting. So, be aware my next thread will have nothing to do with planes 🙂 🙂

Should you be interested, here is a link to that scenery:

Quite unique scenery, and you've given it the presentation it deserves. Can almost feel the warm breezes under those waving palms. Looking forward to Part 2.

Only been to Manila airport. Try to avoid it whenever I can. One of the few times that Flightsim gives a better experience than real-life.

Yeah, I know, what you mean. But with a bit of local knowledge it isn't too bad actually. Not worse than Bangkok, KL or Jakarta, but of course a far shot from Hong Kong and especially Changi 🙂

All major airports are better in MSFS than real life! None of the crowds, none of that "take your shoes off" malarkey etc. And if I want to wander round Heathrow or LA in my dressing gown, scratching my bits as I go, I can do so without fear of offending anyone or getting arrested (horrible image, I know, but that's my point <grin>)

Yes, I tend to use Changi -> Davao rather than go through Manila.
