Historical weather is absolutely a must

When it comes to professionals doing the job of in-sim weather, the HiFiSim guys have been working minor miracles for this community for a long time now.  It royally stinks that they and their expertise have been arbitrarily locked out of this platform--I find it saddening when I contemplate what could be if they had the same kind of opportunity for collaboration that we've seen between Asobo and others--Working Title, for example.

Weren't HiFi also partly locked out of XP 12? I recall reading that XP 12 didn't fully open its weather SDK either, or that there were things that HiFi needed but LR didn't give them access to in the end in XP 12 (wish I could find the comment or post where I read this, but I can't find it anymore with Google).

Edit: I found the comment: https://forums.x-plane.org/index.php?/forums/topic/283813-active-sky-wx-for-xp/&do=findComment&comment=2529234. If that comment is accurate, HiFi doesn't have what they need in the XP 12 SDK either.

If you want to have that discussion, please do it in the XPlane forum, not here.
