June 22, 20232 yr A rather long trip for me in the C182RG. Starring @Tim-HH's livery N1810R, Verticalsim's Peter O Knight KTPF and Orbx's Key West, FL KEYW. I did a bit of flight planning due to the thunderstorms affecting portions of southwestern Florida. My routing essentially followed waypoints along the Gulf Coast down to MTH NDB, where I turned towards Key West, and sort of overflew the airport for a visual ry 09. Please Enjoy Untitled-1 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr Most of the heavy rain just came through and I'm leaving the bulk of the storm behind... Untitled-2 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr Tampa got drenched Untitled-3 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr Another small wall of water ahead. Wish I had wx radar... I have seem a few C182RG's so equipped. Tops don't look too high though. June 22, 20232 yr Interesting flight all the way. Your presentations always provide the complete experience.
June 22, 20232 yr Lovely set Ryan, very atmospheric in all senses of the word. I sat staring at this aircraft in the Marketplace for a good while today, but I need to get used to the idea of this airframe without wheels - just doesn't look right for me. Ryzen 9 7900X, Corsair H150 AIO cooler, 64 Gb DDR5, Asus X670E Hero m/b, 3090ti, 13Tb NVMe, 8Tb SSD, 16Tb HD, 55" Philips 4k HDR monitor, EVGA 1600w ps, all in Corsair 7000D airflow case. Sims in use - 2020, 2024, XP-12 and -11, FSX/SE, P3Dv4.5 and v5.4. DCS and AFS2 installed but rarely used

Sometimes I don't know much about the areas I fly in so I research a little as I fly. On 6/22/2023 at 4:51 PM, andy1252 said: Lovely set Ryan, very atmospheric in all senses of the word. Yeah, the gear retracting makes it look quite odd. It also gives a nice cruise speed boost. Although I believe the newest fixed gear C182's do almost the same speed.
