Micro stutters since update(s)

Featured Replies

Hi, today I launched MSFS after not using it for a week or so to install the mandatory update, and I got a screen that told me MSFS wouldn't run well with my NVIDIA driver 535.79.  After the install I shut it down and installed the latest for my card which is a GeForce RTX 3070, driver 536.23,

Then I made a quick flight from Atlanta, KATL to Falcon field, KFFC, with live weather and the whole way I had a heck of a lot of micro stutters.  I was wondering if there's a problem with the driver.  I'm not too proficient in drivers and all that so I thought I'd ask.

Thanks.

Jack

try to revert to 531.29 these goes well for me

if you are using a rolling cache try deleting it- I had major stutters with this build and this sorted it for me

These drivers are great here.  Whenever I update drivers I always:

  1. Choose the NV clean option in the driver to clear out NV Control Panel settings
  2. Delete DX Shader Cache using DiskCleaner
  3. Delete and rebuild the rolling cache
  4. Reset my NVCP settings which are:
    1. Low Latency Ultra
    2. Desktop Color
    3. 10bit Color
    4. DSR Factors4x
    5. Refresh 100mHz

I updated from the 531.29 drivers as recommended during the update and may roll back as it feels like the older drivers were smoother for me.

These helped tremendously, much appreciated.

Since the latest MSFS update I have a white dot in the center of the screen maybe 50% of the time.  I can’t find anything in settings, anyone know what this is?  Thanks.
