July 17, 20232 yr Can't believe I've never seen this clip before: High degree of skill there, from one moving ship to another with sling loads - Bravo Zulu. Makes me wonder if we'll see anything like this in MSFS 2024. I doubt we'll get this specific helicopter model from any developer, but I think a Chinook is still in the works for those of us who want a heavy-lift model in the current sim. Additionally, there are numerous YouTube videos featuring airplanes on the MSFS forum, and it appears to be well-received by the community. 747 Captain for the last 39 years, and still learning.
July 17, 20232 yr In the Navy it's referred to as "Vert Reps" or Vertical Replenishment. I was involved in many of these when we were at sea...and all the helo's in the task force pitched in...this was the SH-3 I worked on (We were sending supplies over to the small frigate in our task force) Here is a time when we worked with a CH-46 squadron on another ship. July 17, 20232 yr I think it's appropriate because MSFS2024 is supposed to have sling loads, I mean that's the OP's stated tie-in to the video. Of course the vid is of general interest I'm sure. Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB
