Fenix Fuel Bug

Featured Replies

Hey,

Just wanted some input, hear if anyone had experienced the same at some point and found a solution. 3 times now, completely out of nowhere when flying the Fenix, it would suddenly slow down to around 210 during cruise, AP would turn off due to the speed and I had no thrust control at all, not with A/THR either, despite the engines running fine. Then I realized, when this event happens, my FOB has jumped up to 18400kg and that is the reason, weight goes off the carts. So I can descend down to FL320 and speed will pick back up.

I was just curious if anyone had seen or heard of this, that could point me in the right direction instead of having to waste a lot of hours going through the basic troubleshooting rundown. Else I'll just do my flights in the FBW instead for the time being.

I would post this on their Discord channel. Never heard of this problem.

I have been flying the Fenix A320 pretty regularly since it was released, and I have not heard of this specific bug yet. Curious to see what the cause and fix might be.

Funny bug. Are you positive you were hands-off when that happened? Not that somehow somewhere you used the MSFS w&b by accident or used the fuel page on the FMC (maint -> fuel IIRC).

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

It is a known bug with the 7800X3D!

Most of what is said on the Internet may be the same thing they shovel on the regular basis at the local barn.
