Weird a 4080 has to use DLSS ( fuzzy) for good FPS in VR. IIRC the 4090 is about 33%+ more performance, but figured a 4080 could run it better. My 7800X3D and 4090 runs 48+FPS in PMDGs 737 with High/Ultra and QPRO settings Max'd.

Well I'm CPU limited sometimes even in VR - so that might be the reason why I go dlss.  I can run TAA in rural areas while in VR but it's the big cities and heavy pay ware and weather where I'd rather have dlss and smoother perf.

I'm upset for not getting the 4090 - it's one of my biggest 1st world problem regrets haha!

for video rendering etc it's almost a different generation of video card. I wonder if nvidia have intentionally made the gap that big to slowly bring out another 3  cards to slot in between and keep the 4x series running for an extra year?

Apparently 5 series won’t come out till 2025, I read somewhere that was confirmed.

Ah, the limitations of being a family man (that's something I know about), and not to mention your PSU.  I'd take it easy on yourself, I bet some 4090 owners pine over the non-existence of a 4090 ti 😄.
