Have you tried turning all MSFS traffic off?  We each sometimes face individual issues.  I chased nVidia drivers as my issue with very mixed results.  I fell back to the much earlier 531.29 driver as advised by Asobo.  Went CTD free until I added back 40% aircraft traffic in MSFS options.  CTD's returned.  Tried 30% traffic, still occasional CTDs.  Went back to zero traffic setting again.  No CTDs.  Updated to this 536.99 when it was released.  No CTDs yet with MSFS aircraft traffic set at zero.  I do still have a meager level of ground vehicle and boat/ship traffic.  My focus on MSFS aircraft traffic was driven by similar reports from other simmers.

I completed an Hjet flight today from KOAK to KMKC, FL430, M .067M, 3.8 hours.  Then a 2.6 hour flight from KMKC to KBWI.  No CTDs.  Actually, last 23 hours since zeroing out aircraft traffic with no CTDs.  All of those with 536.99

Glad to hear. You're were going through a CTD hell it seemed like for a while. Same here but mine happens with or without traffic.

Thoughts: Why would traffic cause this? I use FSLTL or AIG with the GA traffic mod (on GA traffic, set to 8%) but the AIG is usually set to 20%.

There are 2 settings in the sim you need to set to off to disable the white dot and the boxes.

I have confirmed that my CTD issue is kind of specific to VR. With same Ultra high settings, including TLOD=400, I can fly hours on 2D 4K screen no problem at. But in VR, even with reduced TLOD to 300, it will always end up CTD after around 30 +/-10 minutes. MSFS runs beautifully in VR at 35-40 fps, then all of sudden the VR goggle (HP G2) gets blank out, the PC freezes up for few seconds followed by a complete CTD of MSFS.

I have already been running MSFS in safe mode and with no other addon programs. I'll try to further reduce the settings in VR see if it helps. This kind of CTD trouble shooting is so time consuming.

No. If you are on the SU13 beta set both "Show the white dot cursor in freelook" and "Allow 2D cursor on all peripherals" to OFF.

No, you will have to wait for the beta to end then.
