October 8, 20232 yr I have been flying in the UK lately with A Pilots Life, and everytime I fly into EGLL I see this strange dark area with square corners at around a 9 mile final. I have all default scenery, and it doesn't change even with clear skies. Has any one else seen this? Edited October 8, 20232 yr by Bobsk8
October 8, 20232 yr That's photogrammetry. Photogrammetric parts are always darker (for whatever reason) than the usual satellite photos. For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

October 8, 20232 yr ....and that is deemed to be acceptable? There is no way that I could handle a mismatch like that. It would drive me nuts. I would r ather have one very small area look a little darker, than all the scenery looking like word not allowed. 😉 Edited October 8, 20232 yr by Bobsk8

The darkness has nothing to do with the actual lighting the day the PG was created. You'll notice that basically every PG in the whole of MSFS is darker. I guess it's a technical thing. And @Christopher Low no of course that's not acceptable, but it says a lot that this is only the second worst disadvantage of photogrammetry (the first being the melted look). If you disable photogrammetry you don't see that and still have much better ground textures than in other sims. You'll probably gain a few frames, too (by turning off photogrammetry), at least I did on my old system it was a noticeable load. Right now I still have it on with the new system, but I used to run with it off for over a year. Rhett 7800X3D ♣ 96 GB G.Skill Flare ♣ Gigabyte 4090 ♣ Crucial P5 Plus 2TB
