October 15, 20232 yr Congrats Frank! That is quite a milestone for sure...and you're just about to roll 1000 on MSFS. Looks like your MSFS hours are almost 1/10th of your total hours. Do you have any special trips planned for each event? Regards, Steve DraGet my paints for MSFS planes at flightsim.to here, and iFly 737s hereDownload my FSX, P3D paints at Avsim by clicking here
October 17, 20232 yr Author Thanks Steve. Yes my hours have picked up in retirement. I am fortunate that most of the airports I frequent have been nicely rendered in addon scenery efforts, and most of that freeware. When do I believe I will reach that coveted 10,000 milestone? Had to tell. It will not be any kind of commemorative flight. As I believe you know, I sim fly as if I were flying executives of sports teams back and forth to real life game and event schedules. I very much value and appreciate your tutorage on modifying liveries. Here is about half of what I have in use. Today found me flying the NASCAR AMR Safety Team leaders from Las Vegas to Ft Worth, on the way to next Sunday’s race at Homestead (Miami), Florida. 17 hours to go after today’s flight. I have a flight planned to return the IMSA race series AMR Safety team guys from Atlanta back to their base of ops in Daytona Beach. Then later in the week a flight from Bloomington, Indiana, to Baltimore for a weekend soccer game between my alma mater and the University of Maryland. I’ll likely still be 10 hours short. Late next week I will start out on a west coast swing for the St Louis Blues NHL hockey team. That trek, if I can get it in, will likely get me there as the trip will include Winnipeg. Calgary, Vancouver, and then Denver, before returning to St Louis. My Baltimore Ravens head to Arizona that same week and the week after that NASCAR series is back out west, also at Phoenix. So I have plenty of activity coming up. October 20, 20232 yr Hearty congratulations, Frank, on this achievement...if not already...! You make all your trips as if you're really going there...that helps, I think ...and retirement too, of course ...🙂 ...

You make all your trips as if you're really going there...that helps, I think ...and retirement too, of course ...🙂 ... Thank you! Down to 13.1 hours remaining and difficult to predict passing that 10,000 hr milestone. I have trips planned, but if I cannot complete a plan in a real time sense to arrive prior to the event or game I scrub it off the schedule and move to the next. Currently have some intermittent constraints while dealing with a family health situation and demands from my role in a homeowners association board. And fall leave cleanup is approaching, and it is a huge demand on my time for 45 days. Wish me luck! I will post back....... Life in retirement still presents demands. At one time about a year ago I posed the question of whether I would first reach 10,000 hours, or 10,000 posts of participation here on avsim. As a retiree from Honda after over two decades of work, the Hjet, by intense affinity, has drawn more of my attention to Discord, so the hours will rule! Marwan has brought something truely special to a flight simulation model, and has not shyed from constantly improving it and bringing it closer to match its namesake.
