October 17, 20232 yr Not sure if you guys knew about this, but I'm pretty excited to try it out. https://flightsim.to/file/61143/king-air-350-g1000-cockpit-mod AMD 9950X3D | 64 GB RAM | RTX 5090 FMR: 747 FO, 757/767 CAPT, 737 Check Airman Current 777 CAPT

October 18, 20232 yr It was never clear to me what a G3X would do in a King Air... it is targeted for experimental and other light aircraft. The BlackSquare analog King Air is a good solution, and has made the King Air a much better airplane. This G1000 effort when completed, could be an alternative.. lets see. 🙂 Bert
October 18, 20232 yr Author I honestly wouldn't mind seeing black square make a G1000 version since most 350's are fitted with G1000's or Proline systems. Since they're modeling, it'd be nice to see a 90 and 200 variant as well. Though IRL, I wasn't a fan of the 90, it'd be fun to fly in the sim. My main beef with the BS version is they have stuck steam avionics in a B350i that I very much doubt you would ever have IRL seeing as how they were released circa 2009 and most had the G1000. If BS had come up with a B200 circa 1990 with steam gauges I would be all for it. Fortunately BS took another path for the TBM. So a G1000 for default 350i? Seems worth a go to me. October 26, 20232 yr OH wow....the guy updated it with the larger MFD! That's nice! And dual engine readouts 🙂 https://flightsim.to/file/61143/king-air-350-g1000-cockpit-mod Now if we could get someone to do the Blackhawk XP67A engine modification 🙂 g1000B350 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr g1000b3502 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr Edited October 26, 20232 yr by ryanbatc | My Liveries | FAA ZMP | PPL ASEL | | Windows 11 | MSI Z690 Tomahawk | 12700K 4.7GHz | MSI RTX 4080 | 64GB 6000 MHz DDR5 | 500GB Samsung 860 Evo SSD | 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo M.2 | EVGA 850W Gold | Corsair 5000X | HP G2 (VR) / LG 27" 1440p |

October 27, 20232 yr I am tempted to create a new term: BWT.. as in "before WT". Working Title (WT) have overhauled a number of aircraft, like the CJ4, and the 787.. but the King Air was not touched by them, and was still BWT. Until this G1000 mod appeared. With this mod applied, the King Air has suddenly been added to the "after WT" list.. it is a new and much improved aircraft! The Blacksquare analog King Air is nice, but a bit awkward with an older panel in a newer airframe.. an unlikely combination in real life. This G1000 mod, on the other hand, depicts a newer (WT) panel in a newer airframe.. which is actually just what the doctor ordered.. and did I mention that it is free? 😎 Bert

October 28, 20232 yr Is it the Mgouge G1000 mod compatible with the Asobo King Air 350 Realism Mod ( Asobo King Air 350 Realism Mod for Microsoft Flight Simulator | MSFS) v 1.3.0? Version 1.3.0 The Blackhawk XP67A after-market engine upgrade is now included in the download as an optional engines.cfg file. To install it just replace the original engines.cfg file with the new file from the Blackhawk PT6A-67A Engine folder Edited October 28, 20232 yr by edzunu

There's no yellow arc for turboprops. I tried the King Air for the first time today. With the G1000 mod, if the propellor levers are fully forward, the prop RPM guage is redlining with the throttles miles short of fully forward. (About 60% throttle) Without the mod, I didn't see any redlining, albeit there are fewer guages, and they're not so big so harder to see. Is it really the case, that the King Air would only have the prop lever about 85% forward for take off, to stop it redlining, or is SU15 perhaps affecting things? It would be interesting to get the opinion of those more knowledgeable than me. I did have the Carenado King Air for P3D, and only used it a few times as it was so easy to lose an engine with over torque that it took the fun out of it for me. Calum Watt
June 20, 20241 yr I just tried the 350i ProLine 21 mod instead. That works pretty much as expected, where you need to keep your throttle just short of max to stay out the red in the dials. Hopefully the P1000 will be updated if something has affected it in an MSFS update. It would be good to have both mods as options. Calum Watt
