It is strange. Even Pmdg acknowledged that it doesn't touch everyone. I wonder if its mod, addon, gns related?

That is usually 99% of the issues that usually mess things up. Not saying you have these and....Not in the previous case as this was PMDG front and center. This time? Not sure.

I flew from KSAN to KPDX with SID/STAR and two waypoints I found using pilot2atc. Forgot a few steps so it was a little rough. Made it up to 15000 to check and see how it was mostly loaded. 70% fuel, 50 passengers and 40% cargo hahaha. Anywho. Interesting. It tracked the GPS just fine.

I never had issues with intercepting ILS, either.

I did use the PMS750 (premium) pop out and used that to dial everything in because I really hate dials in a flight sim. The worst.

It did not oscillate or bob/weave. It was refreshing. However, I will most certainly retest all over again today or tomorrow for a similar flight. Who knows..... maybe the issue will show up again? Working title helped so maybe it was fixed

Curious. Seeing how the sim updates sort do what they want.... I wonder 530/450 gns or working title mods are in your community or official folders?

I read a while back having anything installed regarding gns could cause issues.

I have the PMS GTN 750 paid. So you just use the unit that pops up when you activate it in the overhead menu. Do you have to turn anything off to do that in the DC6?

Since the WT GNS became officially supported by Asobo, they are in the official folders.

Tried a flight with the GTN430, and it worked well without any waving, but when automatically switched to VLOC I missed the ILS GS, so I landed manually following the instruments. I'll verify the next approach if the VLOC is working coupled to the DC-6 autopilot. So the infamous GTS430 works, but I miss my preferred vor to vor navigation.

Against my better judgement I tried two flights today with this piece of  word now allowed, and just like before, I could not get Gyropilot to track the GPS course. I think I will just uninstall this bucket of bolts, and put it in my Trash Bin.

Don't give up, although PMDG give us some not tested patches, the DC-6 remains one of the best PMDG planes (with a lot of problems and space of further improvements).

There is a very specific order to follow for this, however. I think its page 14? Anywho, I read those bits all over again and was able to track lateral nav and an ILS approach. I hand flew everything for a while, landed, then loaded up a few short plans to test.

Again, no offense, but I'd follow the manual. Put in gyropilot mode, select the gyropilot switch UP,  then the manual switch and then back to select localizer.

VOR with this is tricky last I remember. After leaving the VOR you have to select Gyropilot mode again to maintain the heading for a bit after you pass that VOR. Then for a short time after you select the next freq and select localizer again. Fun though

I did, and when a ILS signal is captured I switch from localizer to approach, but it was waving like crazy (see my screenshots above). Anyway the GPS tracking seems working well, but for safety I choose a default livery, instead of my usual Red Bull one.

After 2 flights today with the new patched DC-6 I can say that on my end the GPS flying is working well, the same for the ILS landing (but you have to be careful to the angle where you capture the signal). The VOR navigation remains bugged, but I need more tests.

Against my better judgement, I am flying the DC6 this morning, and so far everything is working on a flight from KFLL to KMCO. Will report back, I am using the default GTN 430.

I do understand how the generators produce, or don't produce enough power. I get zero light from the landing lights at all, zero, no light even with the gens on and the engines turning above 1500 rpm. I do see light from the beacons and other lights reflecting off the ground though This is the only plane I've ever had this issue with. Even a little light would help.

I can't believe it, first DC6t flight in around a year ( I think). Everything went perfectly including the ILS approach and landing. Now I just have to get used to using the GTN 430 again.
