I've been using P3d v6's Scenery\World Textures on P3D v5.4 for months and have had no issues except the same few artifacts that are known in P3D v6 and which LM says will be fixed in the next release.

Thanks for the important hint! Should a symbolic link to the textures folder work, instead of copying ? We could backup the original textures folder and then create a symbolic link in the place of the v5.4 textures folders (?) And... when using Orbx Global / LC / Vector products, would that still make a difference / be compatible ? And... when using Orbx Global / LC / Vector products, would that still make a difference / be compatible ? Obviously after making a backup of \Scenery\World of P3D v5.4, I only made a copy\paste of the original Textures of \Scenery\World of P3D v6 onto the Textures of \Scenery\World to leave any other Textures from others unchanged addons and so only the original ones are overwritten. I found in all scenarios, including those of Orbx such as Global Base, a better "light" and a better AA in all scenarios compared to the original Textures of P3D v5.4, and I also found this improvement on the installed pay scenarios and so far I haven't had any problems.
November 4, 20232 yr It leaves me to wonder if LM needed to make a whole new sim in version6 or could have just as easley upgraded P3DV5.4 to version5.5. Vic green

There's a lot going on in v6 apart from this "cosmetic" changes, and I believe it may well be a testbed foran upcoming, revolutionary, v7. Anyway, I am still really enjoying each & every bit of 5.4 which allows me to fly the FSLabs fleet, so ahead in quality and detail of any alternative in other platforms... The PMDG 777, and even the A2As, could be made to work in v6, using the registry trick, but I prefer to wait for proper installers. Agreed on the improved light. No change on AA after testing both SSAA and MSAA. No sure how this could happen without a change in sim or a driver refresh.

I see under "C:\Users\UNINSTALLER\Documents\Prepar3D v5 Add-ons\A2A" the "add-on.xml" So, would I just have to copy the whole "A2A" folder in "Prepar3D v5 Add-ons" into "Prepar3d v6 Add-ons" ? There's also mention to A2A in "C:\Users\UNISTALLER\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v5\add-ons.cfg" pointing to the respective A2A Add-ons folder in Documents... Should I copy that entry to the corresponding "Prepar3D v6\add-ons.cfg" ? November 5, 20232 yr Kind of a shame that V6 is being picked apart and somewhat cannibalized for its parts. LM should not have released this version. We need a totally new version that is comparable to the other sim in some or all of the ways. Version 5.4 is showing itself as the superior of the 2 versions, and pieces of V6 are being added to it. How many more pieces of V6 will find their way into 5.4? Listen up, LM...give us what we are all asking for.
