Bridger Aerospace and X-Plane 12

Featured Replies

Interesting. But not really a big surprise isn't it? And what they stated in this press-release "once it is released, X-Plane 12 will be the most realistic flight simulator engine ever made" seems to have been more than confirmed, since almost every experienced real airliner-pilot having tried XP confirmed that. Exactly like that guy i just discovered on YT and is also a real airliner-pilot  "Into the Blue Simulations" showcasing the fantastic dynamics of XP12 with a great video and stating clearly that "XP is more realistic than their counterparts and has a greater fidelity". Just take a look at the video:

Very nice to see him back in XP12 for the time being! I like his style.

7950X3D + 7900 XT + 64 GB + Linux | 4800H + RTX2060 + 32 GB + Linux
My add-ons from my FS9/FSX days

Read the press release - VERY interesting.

using Mixed Reality, and something about integrating the aircraft itself to the session.

also developing fire propagation simulation into their sim (interesting that Lockheed Martin is also doing this with P3D).

finally: that CL-415 amphib is an addon I’d dearly love to use, even on my lowly desktop system 😀

Into The Blue Sims is a good guy. A320 pilot IRL.

very business-like and even handed. Keeps his vids under an hour, cold n dark to battery off following IRL checklists

Likes to run Fast Jets thru the Mach Loop, and flies just about everything

also seems to be rather simulator agnostic, which is great.

"graphically though it's fair to say that x-plane does lag behind the competition ... it can look very average at times"

for the majority of avsim readers, (all B737 airline pilots 🤣), this doesn't matter of course.

very nice.

"...and again that's pretty stunning visuals, I'm sure you'll agree....and overall they can look a little more photorealistic at times..."

I'll take "more photorealistic" over "beautiful" any day given that the latter is no more than overly-saturated colors and hand-crafted scenery. And I don't even need to trust his class 1 medically-certified eyeballs. It's obvious on the screen.

Friendly reminder: WHITELIST AVSIM IN YOUR AD-BLOCKER. Especially if you're on a modern CPU that can run a flight simulator well. These web servers aren't free...
