In addition to the above - and the 789 already released -, the Asobo 78X will receive a similar "Horizon" treatment in the near future, meaning that all feature we have on these two 8 and 9 versions will make it to the X version as well.

May not be the "study level" that many are craving for, but certainly a great "enjoyment level" series of freeware, thanks to Kuro and Horizon!

Wingflex was supposedly updated but looks horrible, I hope they revert it back to how it was in the 2.1.1 version, other than that, its amazing as expected!

If you saved your 2.1.1 Version you can copy those wingflex values and overwrite the NEW ones, thats an easy task..

Look at the flight model.cfg file the values are in there.

So you don't have to wait..

This is music to my ears.  I guess you can say I am a sucker for details but I like consistency and it looks like in the very near future the Asobo, Horizon and Kuro will all be pretty much the same minus the obvious differences between them.  Hopefully the 10 will get the GENX engines as well like the 8 and 9 now have.  Even though they are pretty similar looking it's one of those little things that is bothersome when the 10 you are flying has Rolls Royce engines but the airline really flies GENX.

Trying this out now....I am not getting any climb performance once over approx FL 250.  I am lightly loaded for a 2 hour flight (350,000 lbs) and I am climbing at 600fpm.  I used the new Simbrief profile as well and getting a lot of insufficient fuel messages.  Curious if anyone else is seeing these things..

Update:  I thought this was caused by icing but I tried a second flight and can confirm there is a bug with the flight model.  Climb starts to peter out around 20k and can barely do 500fpm at 25k.

Does this version use the sounds from the 787-9?  I recall previous versions relied on the FTSim sound pack (or at least I was prompted to select on of those sound packs)

Wow, this is such a bad flight model , can`t belive..😵

What did they do after such a long update time that was used to V.3.0 ?? Do they not test and fly the plane, this realy makes me sick !!

I am on a flight at the moment and will try to explain some things i found : First, to hold the plane on the runway especially in the last few meters before takeoff you should be an artist yourself, than the climb about to 24000 ft goes OK but from there to 39000 ft with 390000 lbs TOW max is 503000 lbs TOW so the pane is not that heavy goes with 700 ft  and at 30000 ft you go with 400 ft and this feels it takes half the flight to reach 39000 ft. The best is the FMC says OPT allmost 41000 feet what would never be reached i belive.

Took me around 190nm to reach 39000 ft with not a that heavy plane, so this flight model is just word not allowed - sorry to say  i'm so disappointed..

cheers 🤔
