Clouds move strangely

Hi,

I've had the problem with P3D for a long time that the clouds sometimes move completely in a different direction.

Of course the whole thing looks very unrealistic, it looks as if I'm drifting to the left or right.

in short the clouds are faster than me.

I already had the problem with 5.3. and I also have it with 5.4

From what I could read in the Active Sky Forum, it's more of a problem with P3D.

How do you deal with clouds or do you have any tips?

Thanks

It's been around forever, you eventually learn not to put yourself in a position to not notice it. It goes away, I had forgotten about it until you just now mentioned it. Don't obsess on it and it will go away. (I'm not excursing it, it's just not worth obsessing over)

Yea, I've seen clouds slowly drifting by from left to right for years but have become totally desensitized to it.

Most annoyance to me is seeing trees that look like cardboard cutouts spliced together at 90 degree angles. Yuk. Talk about immersion killer. Looking from directly overhead they look like Xes.

Are not the trees in v6.1 a new set of dynamic designs ?

Although I assume over a particular altitude the trees would revert to the billfold types for performance reasons.

Cheers

Do you have Volumetric clouds on? If so as said above it's really something you just have to grin and bear unfortunately and eventually get used to it.

However if volumetric isn't critical for you, you can always disable it whilst keeping EA on for it's other effects.
