There are meanwhile more alternatives, I use AxisAndOHs AAO as the developer is faster and more innovative meanwhile.

other alternatives also exist, like SPAD.Next, MobiFlight

i avoid using addons which rely only on FSUIPC ... there are not much luckily

 

depends what you want to achieve.
If you want to use a StreamDeck, you will find the most profiles for AAO and its SD plugin

Yes, the source of data for my ACARS. Couldn't be bothered to do it in WASM.

I only use the save flight option on some long hauls - otherwise it is gathering dust

Does it save all flight parameters with the FBW, Fenix, PMDG ?  Can you respawn midflight without a hissy fit?

Yes, I use it to connect several other tools like SLC or RealTurb (I think).

I do. I bought it for setting up my hardware. I was already familiar with FSUIPC 3 thru 6, and I had a discount (for having the previous versions), while I knew nothing about AAO and spad.Next (other than their existence). That's maybe the first thing I got for MSFS, as soon as I realized I couldn't assign controller profiles natively. Then I saw I also needed it for running PF3.

Bought it early so I could configure my controller axes as I did in P3D, especially with profiles set per aircraft.

I also have SPAd but haven’t really gotten into it to see if it can do what I do in FSUIPC easier or better.

I also have a few programs that require it but I don’t recall if the free version would suffice for that.

I use it so that I can have different control profiles for different aircraft. I can have specific profiles so that my control response is different and control 4 engines with two throttles with the 747. Or, I can have profiles such as twin jets, single props, twin props or even airbus that I use for my scare buses.

I wouldn't be caught without FSUIPC.  Besides the ability to automatically load control profiles specific to each acft, the logging functions give me the ability to gain visibility into the internals of the sim when something goes wonky, and being able to trigger button/key controls when entering/leaving axis ranges lets me do things like control a B737 with 9 flap handle positions with a controller that only has 5, for example.  Its Lua programming functionality is very powerful and much easier to use than compiling C/C++ programs.

It's also really useful for utilities and add-ons made for previous ESP-based sims that use its long-lived and standard interface.
