I'm 100% amateur 2. Doing this on my spare time 3. Capable only to build small GA fields (due to limited skill in Blender to name one) 4. I did once headed north with my Vintage Bowerman ! ;)))) Edited April 3, 20242 yr by vbazillio Vincent B. January 27, 20251 yr I live just down the road from Placerville, in South Sacramento, so now I have a bespoke local airport to explore! Thanks, I'm d/l'ing it now!

January 27, 20251 yr Salut Vincent, I'm kind of re-discovering this airfield right now, I forgot you had released it so long ago, sorry. Excellent job as usual, thanks a lot for your hard work 🙂 One remark though: why isn't your airport visible on the flightsim.to scenery map ? A few days ago I ended a VFR flight from Lake Tahoe in this airfield (default scenery), just because I liked how it looked. Before my next flight, I went to flightsim.to scenery map to check if any addon existed for that airfield, just to make my next takeoff more enjoyable, and there was none... on the map at least. Your scenery was already uploaded in there, and I would have found it if I had used the search field and typed the ICAO code or something like that... but truth is, I never do that. I always just check the map, and then I missed your airport (and maybe others) because it doesn't appear on the map. Is there anything you can do about this ?
January 27, 20251 yr Author Good question and bad habit to only use the map ! 😉 As for all of my scenery, I put the lat/long coordinates of the airport in their form, and someone from flightsim.to will update their map. Something that takes 1 to 2 weeks. Don't ask me why Placerville skip the process 😉 I just updated the Placerville page with slightly new coordinates and send an email to [email protected] Edited January 27, 20251 yr by vbazillio Vincent B. January 27, 20251 yr Fantastic scenery! The only issue I see are the tall trees partly blocking the approach end of RW23? I've had to land "long" to avoid them. Are they there in real-life or is this the MS2024 "tree fetishist" at work again I wonder? PS: This is with default MS2024 trees. January 27, 20251 yr Grabbed some screenshots to illustrate. It looks more like scrub/bush before the threshold of RW23 in this YouTube vid. Don't get me wrong I LOVE the scenery and can deal with the tall trees. Just thought I'd illustrate what I'm seeing if it helps. and default trees with your scenery in MS2024 Edited January 27, 20251 yr by TrafficPilot Chillblast Core i5 14600KF Liquid Cooled RTX 4070 SUPER 32GB RAM.
